15th of March
The summer holidays are nearly over, I can't believe I'm a senior this year. My last year of high school before I go off college. Mum doesn't want me to leave her. You see mum was once married to my father, but ever since he left her for a 24 year old Hooters worker, she's been single since. She says she's happy being single so she can force more on herself but I know how miserable she is. I've never had a boyfriend before, mum says boys are nothing but trouble. But there's a new family that moved in next door recently. My bedroom window is opposite one of the windows next door and I've notice there's a super cute guy. His tanned, green eyes, light brown hair freshly cut and styled well, with a great sense of style. He was perfect.
Mum made a fancy dinner tonight, she always does this before I go back to school. She makes me eat all this special 'brain food' that will help me get back into focusing on school. I don't believe it works but for the past 7 years she's been feeding me this stuff the day before school. Mum and I were talking about college again, she's tried every excuse under the sun to stop me from going. Literally. There was a knock at the and obviously mum is too lazy to get it, who would knocking on the door at this hour? I open the door and there was a cute guy and a little girl on my door step. 'Hi I'm Noah and this is my little sister Lilly, we're the new family from next door. My mum always makes brownies to give to our neighbors when we move' 'There not very good, but she tries her best'. To my surprise this handsome manly figure was the cutie from next door. 'Hey- I'm- uh.. Madeleine' could I possibly me anymore embarrassing ugh. We talk for a few minutes about random things, turns out we have a lot of things in common. Once Noah and Lilly left, I got mum to try the brownies with me, they were really good. It was an early night for mum and I, we both needed rest for a long day ahead of us.
