Virgil was 13 years old. He was a high schooler who wanted to leave. He hated everyone at school. He never spoke or made eye contact. He was very smart though. His dad,Patton, owned a bakery. It was a very successful business. And his other dad,Logan, worked as a high school teacher at the same school as Virgil went to. Logan was a very smart man which is why Virgil was very smart. Virgil would have to go to Patton bakery everyday after school since he didn't have a key.
He walked through the bakery with his black headphones listening to yungblud. "Heya kiddo!!" Virgil looked up at his dad and faked smiled. He did it when he didn't wanna talk about it. "You okay?" "I'm fine..." "kiddo?" Patton said looking straight at him."fine... I have a crush... on a boy..." "OMG yes!!! I knew u would do soon!! Is he ur friend?" "Dad..you know I don't have any." He said walking to his chair near the counter. "Can I go home." You know we can't." "But u have the keys!" "No ur dad does! and he's at work til 6:00 so no." "Ugh.." Virgil has been at the bakery for hours it felt like. Really,it had been 2 hours. He had been drawing his favourite artist and he hadn't finished. Virgil's hobbies were drawing and writing songs. "Kiddo? Can u help out here?" Urmmm sure.." "how was ur dinner?" "I didn't have any...I was with dad." Virgil said. He normally stays with his dad on dinners.  It may sound lame but he thinks it's better than dinner with Radom people who might mock him. "Is he okay?" "Yea just stressed about the year 7. They are annoying to him." "He should be here soon" The bell rang and Patton smiled to the person. "Heya Welcome to Pattons bakery what would u like?" "Just a coffee please." He said. "Of course..Name?" "Roman." Roman had walked into the bakery. Virgil suddenly ran back to his chair. He hid in his hoodie pretending to draw. Roman was his crush and the most popular guy in the school. All the girls loved him but Virgil knew he was gay. Roman was the theatre geek of the school. And Virgil.. well he loved it. "There u go roman!" "Thanks" he smiled as he sat down. He pulled his laptop out and started to write. "Is that ur crush there." Patton whispered "yea.." "say hello to him" "he wouldn't like me." As he said that, the door opened at Logan walked in. "Hey Logie!" "Hello Patton. Hello
Virgil." "Hey dad." Roman turned around and saw him sat down. He smiled at me as walked up. "Hey..." Virgil said "hey Virgil." "Urm..how do u know my name?" "Ur in my drama and history lessons." "Oh..right." "Is Mr Hart ur dad?" "Yea and my dad owns this bakery. I'm here because I have to." "Heh. Nice. What u drawing?" "My favourite artist. It's kinda bad." "No it's not. I think it amazing!" "Thanks." "Could I invite u out for coffee tomorrow?" "Urm..Of course." "Great see your at school tomorrow." "Bye.." Roman walked out with his laptop in his hand. Virgil has a date. "Have fun tomorrow." Patotn giggled as Virgil smiled.
