I'll give this one to you guys since I already have it done, plus I already have a more cringey version up. And I'm bored. Yeah. Just an excuse to show you more of the plot line and see if you enjoy it. Following chapters will have the tag (revamped ver.) which just lets you know that it's part of the new plot and not the old one. This isn't fully edited, and even though it's revamped, it's not exactly completed. Once everything is posted, I'll come back and edit as I see fit.

Now this is a subject that, other than Natsu & others being an absolute butt to Lucy, is one of the cliché's I hate the most about these books.
Lucy wanting revenge.
Now, after your dream family insults you behind your back, you would most likely want to prove them wrong in any way, but Lucy is one to think more rationally, and would most likely go in with more of a plan rather than running away without a word. I'm also going to put training here as well since revenge is usually a short topic.

(these description like things are hard with two separate story arcs—)

Lucy's P.O.V

After I walk out of the doors of my ex family, I wonder about what I was going to do, and most likely, how to get my revenge. ( alright, here we go again. At first, yes, the thought of revenge might cross her mind, but she would most likely dismiss the thought. Like I said before, Lucy is not the type to seek revenge. She would most likely want to prove them wrong by becoming stronger, but that would be so that she could protect the ones she cares about, not to harm them. I feel like no matter what, they still hold a big place in her heart. )
I go to the train station to buy a ticket to the Celestial Forest to train. ( look, if Lucy wants to become stronger, she would most likely walk, it would help improve her stamina if she walked a further distance each day, and what better way to start? )
After a few hours, the rain reaches my stop and I grab my stuff and get off. ( let's backtrack here, if she has stuff with her, then she needs to pack. )
I start to wander around the forest before I hear a roar. I cautiously walk forward to the cause of the sound and am shocked at what I see. A dragon. ( NOPE. Watch the anime and you will know that dragons are not just found like that. In the GMG arc, Zirconis (?) explains that a great war happened between the dragons, those that wanted humans and them to live in harmony, or for them to be eliminated. No more spoilers but long story short, Acnologia happened and a lot died, the few who lived sealed themselves into the young dragon slayers and left without a trace in the year 777. Correct me if I'm wrong. And also, WHY IS IT ALWAYS A DRAGON. )
I gasp and walk towards it, looking at its pretty scales. ( You seem to want Lucy dead now, Lucy would NOT walk towards a dragon like that, she would most likely examine it from afar if she wanted to stay and look at it. )
The dragon seems to notice me as I walk towards it and I freeze. "Hello princess" ( ALWAYS A FLIPPING PRINCESS! WHY? Being a princess is every girls dream, I know this, but really? IT'S IN EVERY SINGLE REVENGE BOOK I KNOW! Sorry, but this annoys me. If you need to have her be a dragon slayer, GET A LACRIMA FOR GOODNESS SAKE. And if she desperately needs to meet a real dragon, have it be an illusion of some sorts, and only one, not having her train with all of them and magically knowing where the dragons went. )

CLIFFHANGER
( Alright, some may or may not put a cliffhanger here, but in my case, I will be doing short chapters, and right now, I will be covering two because of my unannounced absence, so, CLIFFHANGER CLICHÉ )

Full Cliché version ( No notes ):
