Hello!
As you know I recently took ownership of a special little guy.
Hermes, my hermit crab.
To the one view I have, I've been wondering if you've been wondering why I named my hermit crab 'Hermes'.
You haven't been wondering?
Well, too bad because I'm going to tell you anyway.I named my hermit crab Hermes because I thought it be kind of clever because, hermit crab, Hermes.
The Greek god, Hermes, represents luck (and a few other things I can't remember). And after I had gotten my hermit crab, things just seemed to be more luckier for me. So I'm grateful for him and I hope to give a long hermit crab life.
Oh yeah!
Hermit crabs can live up to 30 years. (If they have a good human that respects and takes care of them)
They can also grow up to the size of a large coconut.
Hermit crabs also need another hermit crab to interact with, so I'm planning to get another one.
In the next chapter, I will go a little more in depth on hermit crab molting and hermit crab shells.
Until next time,
D.E.T
