A Job You Don't Get Paid For

I woke up tied to the chair, my knife in Adam’s hand. He smiles, but not a regular happy smile, a mischivious look radiates from his eyes as he stares right into mine. He’s a demon, he has to be. How did this happen? I must have missed a spot with the slat.  Stupid! I’m so stupid!

“Whats happening?” I ask, embracing how ignorant I am to this situation

“Like you don’t know, Amelia Baker! Good to see you’re back,” says Adam, or whatever is inside him.

“Seriuosly dude, what the hell?” I think I know who he is, he must be, he has to be. He is the only demon that knew my name when I was around his neighborhood. I can’t believe this. I thought I had locked him down there.

“Nathaniel,” I articulate, I supress my fear into a smirk.

“ Ha! She remember me!” he screams, waking Cassid – Cas – and Robert with sarcastic exitement.

“ Can’t say I missesd you N. I was  hoping to come across you again, for the sheer pleasure of shoving your deamon ass back into the pit. “ I say as I search for my swiss army blade inside my boot. .

“ As friendly as always!” he exclaims, I can’t but smile at the comment. “ Never change my dear Amelia.” he says

“ Never planned to,” I respond. He smirks and grabs a seat. What is he doing here? I dont get it. If he wanted to kill me we would be on the part where I exorcise him already. He wants something else. Not the knife, he has it already, not Cassidy, not Robert. He could have taken anything without all this playing. I glance at Robert he looks pretty good, considering his brother is being possesed by the only demon I might come to fear.  Which means a lot becau –…

He stands up and yells, “ Adam! Adam! What are you doing? ” Forget the previous thought, this was very stupid.

“ I am not your brother,” the demon answers smiling.

Nathaniel looks at Cassi – Cas, stretches his arm towards her, although she is still fifteen feet away. He motions a slap in the air and Castiel drops to the ground. Neck broken.

“How could you? I dont even know them! They are just three drunk kids that are crashing with me for one night!” I Yell, showing a number one with my index finger. 

“Really? Then why should you care? Just another human you failed to save on the list.” He remarks. My lips quiver a tad, I’ve failed so many people. I wont let these three die.

“ I’m human, I have a soul. Unlike you demons.” I say daringly. I can already feel the amount of sass Nathaniel is holding back. Demons have so much sass it’s funny. He is just staring at me, dead eyes but a smile on his face. He blinks and his eyes turn completely black.

Some Facts About Demons

 

1.    They do crawl out of hell, unless they get sent by the

 King himself.

2.    They do get tortured in hell, or torture other inmates.

3.    What you usually do about them is exorcise them back

 home.

4.    Demons are not inmortal, but hard to kill. You would

need a very powerful exorcism. There’s also the the
