chapter 1

Y/n's pov

He walks the halls acting like he doesn't know me. But we were best friends for 5 years and he ended it all last year because of Cassidy. God I hate her so much. The bell rings as I'm walking into class. I walk past him and sit in the back putting my headphones in playing 'forever by herionfather' (a/n: it's a really good song for loners like me I cant get tired of it) until he takes my phone unplugging my headphones "hey give that back" I say reaching for my phone. "Wow your such a depressing person" he says giving my phone to his friends in front of him. I groan and just keep working hoping I'll get it back eventually. The bell rings signaling that class is over. I grab my books and get up only to get them knocked out of my hand "Colby stop seriously" I bend down picking my books and papers up. "And why should I?" He says throwing my phone at me and walks off. I grab everything and walk to my locker. I put in my combination and put my stuff inside. I grab $20 out of my purse and grab my keys. "I'm so hungry" I say to my best friend paige. She laughs "same, you ready?" She replies I nod as we walk out to my car and head to McDonald's getting lunch. I pull up to the drive through "hi welcome to McDonald's what would you like?" They say over the speaker "can i get a big mac a large fry and a large Sprite" I say looking over at paige "you want anything?" I ask "just 2 hamburgers and sweet tea" I nod saying her order then we pull up to the first window paying. "So how's today?" Paige asks I let out a soft sigh. "Okay so far but class with him was a mess" I say pulling up to the second window grabbing my food then I drive off to school. "Who colby?" She asks stealing one of my fries. I smile and take one as well "yeah he took my phone at first then when class ended" I stop and take a drink "I got up grabbing my stuff and he knocks it all out of my hand then gives me my phone back" I pull up to the school and park "so he had your phone the whole class period?" She says stuffing her face with food. I simply nod and pull out my big mac. "He sounds annoying" she says I nod "yeah it's all just a whole mess I dont even know anymore to be honest" I say picking up my phone going through Instagram "what do you mean?" She asks "me and colby were so close but then cassidy moved to town and took him from me" I roll my eyes at the thought "I'm sorry boo but he doesn't deserve someone like you" she smiles "aw thanks babes" I smile back at her and finish up my big mac. "We should get back inside lunch is almost over" paige says "yeah I cant get detention colbys in it so is Cassidy" I laugh getting all the trash put in the bag and I get out throwing it all away. Pagie walks next to me as we go into the building then we split ways. "Later boo" she says "later" I reply walking to class.

Colby's pov

The bell rings as I'm in the bathroom. I shrug. I've been late all week I really dont care. I finish drying my hands and i walk out the bathroom to see cassidy. "Shouldnt you be in class?" I smirk walking up to her. "Maybe I should be punished" she bites her lip pulling me closer and connects our lips. We make out roughing for a few seconds then get interrupted. "Excuse me you two" I pull away and turn my head to see a hall monitor "go away nerd" I reply and goes back to kissing cassidy "we got a make out sesh in the hall colby brock and cassidy sparks" the hall monitor says and walks off "babe he called for the principal we need to get to class before he" she softly moans as i kiss her neck. Then I pull away "get to class" I say "fine you to mister" she says walking off. I head to class and sit In the back "your late brock" the teacher says "and?" I replied "detention" I just roll my eyes.

Y/n's pov

I look up from my history book to see colby walking in late as usual. I just roll my eyes as he surprisingly doenst push anything off my desk and just walks by. I wonder if he got caught with cassidy again that's hilarious. "Can you excuse me to my locker?" I say looking up at the teacher. She nods and I get up walking to my locker. I open it to see a note fall out. I open it and it says "meet me after school behind the bleachers" I'm curious of the note but I just shove it in my pocket and grab my hoodie and drink. I walk back to class and get pushed to the door by colby leaving the room "jerk" I say walking to my seat.
