Maddi's POV

I woke up to the sound of my door bell constantly being rung. Who the hell is at my house at 6:30 fricking am?!

I groaned. My parents are at work and my younger sister is at my aunt's. I slowly got out of bed making my way downstairs. The door bell was still ringing.

"I'm coming!" I yanked opened my front door seeing my bestfriend standing there smiling knowing he was being annoying.

"Stiles, what the hell?" I said moving aside so he could come in.

"I brought coffee and muffins. I know you wouldn't want to get up especially because it's Monday and hmm I don't know the first day back" he said sitting on the kitchen counter drinking his coffee.

"Stilinski you know me to well" I said shaking my head laughing.

"Here I got your favourite" he said sliding a coffee and a blueberry muffin towards me.

"I still don't know how you're still single, you would make a really good boyfriend" I said biting into my muffin.

"And miss out on the chance of annoying you everyday? I don't think so" he said smiling, lightly nudging my shoulder.

"I'm going to start getting ready" I said running upstairs.

Stiles' POV

I ended up watching cartoons as Maddi was taking forever. Finally I could hear her coming down the stairs.

"Finally I never thought we would lea-" I stopped when I saw how beautiful she looked. I was speechless.

"What? Do I look bad? Should I go change?" She asked worried.

"No....not at all...yo-you look amazing" I finally said. She blushed.

"Oh thank you" she said. The awkward tension was in the air.

"Well we should get going. We don't want to be late on the first day now do we?" I said sarcastically.

"Oh no we wouldn't want to be, it would be a crime" she replied sharing the same level sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes as we headed to my jeep. She plugged her phone in using the AUX cord.

She was dancing along to the music, the sun shining on her face perfectly showing her beauty.

We finally arrived to school. Maddi jumping out of the car running towards Lydia and Allison.

I sighed locking the car and making my way towards Scott and Liam.

"And this is what being in the friend zone looks like" Liam said as I walked up to them.

"No the friend zone doesn't exist okay? I don't have a crush on Maddi like you all think" I stated proudly.

All summer break, the guys were giving me shit about me being in the friend zone. Which was not true as I have never and never will have a crush on Maddi.

"Whatever you say loverboy" Liam said as Scott and him laughed.

Maddi's POV

Finally the last lesson of the day which was AP Chem. I'm so ready to go home and watch Netflix.

I took my usual seat next to Stiles who was in deep thought.

"Whatcha thinking about" I whispered in his ear. I noticed his tiny hairs start to stick up on his neck.

"Uh.. just.. you know thinking about.. about practice after school" he said not sounding very convincing, something else was on his mind.

"I totally forgot it's try outs. I'm going to come watch. I'll be like your lucky charm" I say smiling. Stiles returning one.
