Push

Man, I'll tell ya, people these days do some really stupid and unnecessary things.
Things that won't give gain to themselves, others, or the society.
For example, physicality.
Using our own two hands... To function, create, and communicate.
Or how I've seen them as of late, using them as a tool for frustration, aggression, and arrogance.

A hallway in the 8th grade, a herd of immature classmates parade down the checkered straight.
A boy drops his things and drops to his knees and begins reassembling.
Blocking the path in which the undeveloped pack travels to reach their class.
Out of respect, a person slows their pace to let the boy retrieve his sheets
Until a child nearly blinded by the bulge of their biceps which only allows them to see through a crevasse between his triceps spots the respectful chap and pushes them to get a move on.

Push.

Back to school, out on the field, on the track, strolls three friends in gym class.
They take it slow, take it easy, cause that's how they roll.
Till a hoard of jocks swagger on and start approaching the friendly flock.
"Move!" Booms the dude who knew what he told, they would do.
One of the trio replies as kind as a butterfly , "could you please step aside? Our group is not wide, and there is a size between I and the grass."
The simple one minded behemoth grabbed the gentlemen and pushed him out of the path.

Push.

Back in the hallway, and a jock figure remains
This example is pure ignorance, plain as day
Excelling up the marble plastered patterned path, bolts an athlete using any action whether slide, leap, dodge, or dash
The innocent make way as he maneuvers in this pointless fray
Except one who speculates he shouldn't participate in this flow of disturbance any day
He doesn't move a muscle and resumes
Then the jock stops and looks at him confused
And then proves his cool moves with a push, 360 spin, then continues

Push.

I was the victims, I loathe to admit,
These are incidents that I will probably never forget
even though those who were in control probably forgot about it in under a minute
The stories make me sick, they make me cringe
This pushing and pushing has pushed me off the edge
My body may be defeated but my voice is not dead
I have a vision of what our hands should be used for something instead of violence

Let us not push each others buttons but start pushing the boundaries
Whether it's violence, friendship, or popularity
Let us not accept this fake-smile-peace painted by society
And allow us to push down these walls that are segregating
So we can be truly free

But this ain't no government rant, it's a reality check
Well if your reality is of those of the Christians
Because my God didn't create these blessed hands to abuse. No ma'am, that was not his intention.
Love thy neighbor, the Bible says
These hands were given to us to advance
These hands were given to give that appealing sexually feeling so we could have children
to grow and spit sermons
To a selective group of some of God's lost ladies and gentlemen
Like me, can I get an amen!?

But alas, this also isn't a gospel
Sorry, Panic! At the Disco, but you must flee
For this seemingly fictional philosophical forethoughtful fable is a plea
Screaming, "People Please! Stop beating other human beings"
The fact I must ask that is disappointing...
Overwhelming stupidity!
I'm not expectin' perfection
But I'm not acceptin' depression
But can we not be abusers and accusers for a moment.
And if that's too much to ask for then a minute.
And if that's too much to ask for then a second
A milisecond, something, anything! I don't want to regret speaking this poem and let nothing happen
That would be tragic
So let's push the limits
Push yourself to be a better person
Heck, lets push each other anyway, but only for encouragement
We can hold each other accountable besides gossip
We can listen and not be aggressive
All it takes is some patience, some confidence, some selflessness

Some of you may be loving every word I speak because it's roasting someone you know
But I'm speaking to you
Change your own attitude
If you can't make others change, pushing isn't the way
Dictator is a powerful name for 'coward ' who only scares people artificially "straight"
And if you don't know how to guide another's view, then let them listen to me, and pray

What ever is making you push others... SHOVE it out the door because it's tormenting you into a brainless monster!
With your childish tantrums, it's an eyesore
But only you know your something more
So prove it, and push away that inner war.
