I went with Rafael to his penthouse suite. We walked the whole way in silence only sharing a few looks and smiles.

"Wow. It's really beautiful. What a view." I said a bit surprised as I walked around the suite while Rafael set up the couch for him to sleep on.

Rafael smiled warmly at me before he sat down at the sofa.

"I found a bathrobe and a t-shirt for you. The bedroom is next door. Make yourself at home." He said quietly, with his warm smile.

"Actually... Can we sit and watch the view for a bit? It looks like it's clearing up a bit." I asked insecurely.

"Yeah sure." Rafael smiled, patting the spot next to him.

We watched the view over the ocean for a while without saying anything.

"Thank you for letting me stay here. I bet your bed will be much more comfortable than the temporary ones we have for the staff." I finished with a chuckle.

"No problem." he smiled so sweetly that it made my heart beat faster.

"You seem different than the first time I met you." I said after a small pause.

"Yeah." He said looking down, before starting to talk about his cancer.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that." I said a bit shocked by his story.

"Yeah well. I'm okay now." He smiled weakly.

"I should get to bed. It's been a long day." I smiled before I got up and walked towards the bedroom.

I suddenly stopped and turned to him.

"You can sleep in the bed. But no funny business, okay?" I smirked at him.

"I promise." He smiled before he gathered his things and walked with me to the bedroom.

I quickly went to the bathroom and changed into Rafaels t-shirt. It was way to big but it felt really comfortable and it had his scent. It somehow made me feel weirdly calm and settled.

Rafael was already in bed when I returned, waiting for me.

"Thank you again, for letting me stay." I said as I climbed under the sheets.

"I actually quite enjoyed myself tonight." I smiled as I turned to face him. I hadn't felt so good about myself in a long time.

"Me too. Goodnight Sophia." He said softly before turning off the remaining lights in the room.

Sophia quickly fell asleep after a long day and quite a few drinks.

Rafael couldn't help but watch her sleep so peacefully next to him, with the moonlight hitting her face.

There was something special about her. She made him feel excited and happy, but at the same time calm and settled.

He so badly wanted to kiss her soft delicate lips and make that worried expression on her face wash away.

I woke up the next morning alone in bed. I wasn't in a hurry so I stayed in bed for a while and watched the sea from under the covers.

"Good morning." A familiar voice said from the door pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Hey." I said smiling warmly at Rafael standing in the door.
