**Okay so this was a one shot that came to me on Halloween, literally at like 2am. I wrote it up and then debated on posting it before just pushing it to the side. After re reading it and changing a couple things I decided to post it.. Hope you like!**

(This is an AU one Shot)

"Who's there?" The sound of heavy boots beating against the ground caused me to stop in my tracks; removing one headphone from my ear.

I turned seeing no one behind me, but feeling as if I was being watched. Taking a few steps in the direction I had come from, I paused my music so I could hear if anyone was approaching me.

The sound of a trash can being knocked over echoed from the ally I had just passed. Picking up my pace I rushed back over to the entrance to see if I could catch maybe a group of kids trying to scare me.

Only one light lit the dark ally. No sign of teens or homeless from what I could see. Just to make sure and scare off anyone trying to mess with me I yelled out.

"Knock it off!!" I sounded like an idiot, but it was the best defense I could muster at 11pm. The restaurant had asked me to stay two hours past my original shift. The evening crowed being a bit heavier than anticipated on Halloween.

When I was satisfied with the silence I received in return to my pathetic attempt to sound intimidating, I slowly turned on my heel to continue my walk home. My parents were not happy with my line of work and preferred that I actually didn't work at all. I felt like they were embarrassed by me serving people. As a waitress I made minimum wage plus tips. Just enough money to take care of my basic needs. I let them handle the big stuff. Not because I wanted to, but realistically I couldn't turn down all their help.

My dad said school was more important than anything else though. I however couldn't see myself being one of those college kids. Dosent pay for anything, just holds their hand out and waits for mommy or daddy to refill their bank account for every little need. It was an obnoxious way to live and I wanted no part in it. I always made sure I could cover my electric and water bills. Even my internet and groceries, while they took care of rent.

I hadn't made it more than ten steps when it felt like someone shoved me from behind. I whipped around, but was surprised yet again, to find no one there.

"He-Hello?"

Only silence and a light breeze answered me.

"Fuck this" I turned gripping my backpack straps as I sprinted towards my apartment. I was thankful for my choice in shoes today.

Converse. They were perfect for escaping absolutely nothing. I hadn't seen anyone, yet I was running like my life depended on it.

Little did I know, it did.

My apartment had only been another block or so away. When I could see the steps to the entrance I pushed myself to run faster. The sooner I got inside to the warm safety of my apartment, the sooner I could forget about my invisible stalker.

I was about to cross the street where I would be home free and only a few steps from the front door, but I wasn't going to make it. I wouldn't ever walk up those steps again. Had I known When I left for work that afternoon that my life would end less than an hour after getting off work I would of called in sick. Made my last few hours count.

Just as I stepped off the curb I was suddenly air born. If I hadn't known any better I would of thought I was hit by a car, but there were no cars. I checked before starting to cross. No, something else had lifted me from the ground and now I was gliding through the air like a bird with faulty wings.
