I awoke in the night not having any memory of the day before. It was as silent as it could be. Even though my brother is usually on his game with the sound on loud. It was pure silence. Uneasy silence like something was defiantly wrong. I got out of my room and went down stairs. “Hello! Anyone awake? ” I shouted hoping for an answer. There was no answer just the same uneasy silence. I ran back upstairs hoping that my family was all just sleeping in there bed. I looked in to mum’s and dad’s room.
My eye’s widened, to the sight. Scarlet, fresh blood splattered on the walls. My heart started to pulse and the blood mesmerised me. I snapped myself out of being mesmerised and looked over at the bed. My mum, dad and brother were laying there lifeless, covered in blood and their necks sliced. My eye’s started to swell up with tears and I collapsed to the floor. “What happened? Who did this?” I asked myself in confusion. Suddenly my heart started to pulse again. Worse than before. I started to giggle uncontrollably even though I knew I was now alone.
I walked out of the room while still giggling. I could not stop even though they were dead. I could not think what was going on with me. Why was I giggling? I did not know. “Ah I see. So you are just like us.” A voice murmured from the shadows. I looked around wondering were that voice came from. “W-who’s there?” I stuttered, having trouble to get my words out.
I heard footsteps from behind. I turned rapidly and behind me was a boy that looked my age. His eyes were the colour of blood and his hair was pure black like night. He looked like the type that any girl would fall for even me. I couldn’t stop looking in to his eyes then the boy spoke. “My name is Cain. Nice to meet you.” His voice was calm, soothing and friendly. “M-My name is… Willow.” I told him.
“Do you know what happened to my family?” I asked with a voice that sounded dead and lifeless. “Yes I sure do.” He smirked like it was a good thing that they were dead. I waited for him to say but he didn’t. “So? What happened to them?” I asked getting more and more anxious by the second. “You lovely girl killed them.” He stated with a happy tone in his voice. I tried to process what he told me. “I killed them? How don’t I remember that?” I uttered in despair. “Yeah you did. You did well on how you killed them. They did not see it coming.” He started to laugh. What was wrong with that boy? I always wondered. “We better get going before someone comes.” He whispered in my ear and grabbed my hand. I tried not to go red.
