I Saved A Piece For You

Four years. 

That is how long you and Jaebeom had been together. You met him through your best friend Yoongi when the two of you happened to be in the same coffee shop as him. You were drawn to him because his aura and demeanour were almost exactly like Yoongi's – cool and hard on the outside but incredibly soft on the inside. 

The two of you started off as friends and you weren't quite sure when your feelings for him developed, but one thing led to another – a drunken confession and a weekend locked away getting to know each other in a new light (if you know what I'm saying) – and you had been together as a couple ever since.

People often wondered how the two of you had been together for so long. They were mostly questioning how you could stand Jaebeom when he was always so cold and reserved. They didn't understand since you were an extrovert and always wore your heart on your sleeve – complete polar opposites. You just shrugged the question off every time it came up because they didn't know him like you did – and they certainly didn't understand him like you did.

You see, Jaebeom might be cold and reserved on the outside but he certainly wasn't like that behind closed doors – not just with you but with all his members. Some of the fans even knew this because they've seen it through their V lives and fanmeets. Jaebeom was one of the most caring people you knew, he just chose to show that through action instead of words. 

He gave you his jacket without you asking because he knew when you were feeling cold. He drew you a bath when he arrived home first, because that meant that you've had a long day at work. He stocked up the pantry with your favourites and the bathroom with your required 'toiletries' when your monthly visitor was due. When he had to go away for a while, he left random post it notes all over your apartment, in the most random of places with words of love and encouragement and how much he missed you – it was almost like a scavenger hunt. That was how he showed that he loved you.

You were reminded of that when you walked in to your apartment, spotting Jaebeom and all the other members by the living room. Jaebeom walked towards you, kissed you on the temple to welcome you home and took off your coat for you while you walked towards the rest of the guys to say hi. 

Surrounded by takeout boxes and bellies almost full, they said hi to you from the floor as they continued to munch on their dessert – tiramisu – your favourite. You excitedly searched for the box where it came from only to find it completely empty. The pout on your face was evident and you could feel yourself about to chuck a tantrum when strong comforting arms hugged you from behind and you felt his breath by your ear, whispering words you had been dying to hear since you spotted the tiramisu.

"I saved a piece for you," he said before he kissed you on the cheek. You turned around with the biggest smile on your face and he blushed from the way you were looking at him in adoration. He especially didn't miss the way you bit your lip and shook your head at him.

"I love you, Jaebeom, so much," you said to him as you wrapped your arms around his neck to draw him in for a sweet innocent kiss.

At the end of the night, when the rest of the guys have left, it was your turn to show Jaebeom how much you loved him.

And show him you did.
