He drove me home and walked me just inside my front door. We had been together for over a year but it always felt like so much longer with everything he has helped me through. We sat down on the barstools by the counter and I told him, “I’m a sophomore you’re a senior… you’re going to college next year. They say that college is where you meet everybody that you will spend the rest of your life with… I just can’t lose you too. We gone through so much and I could never find a guy like you.” “There isn’t any girl I could meet that would take me away from you. There is no other girl out there. You’re prefect. Well you’re perfect for me. No one could take your place.” “There just aren’t any guys that know me like you, act like you, or make me feel the way you do.” “Then don’t replace me.” “Then don’t make me.” “Deal and if you ever, ever, ever feel like you’re going to lose me I want you to think of this moment.” I smiled which he knew meant ok and he leaned in and alternated kissing my forehead and my lips. His kisses were so light and soft that I knew he loved me and meant everything he said. I just wish mom were around to see how far we’ve come.
