After Shiros disappearance Lance McClain found that when he wasn't chosen to help polite the black lion it really shook him up, but when the co-paladin starts to help him find himself he finds he doesn't need any lion, or anyone to validate himself.
While Lance finds himself Keith Kogane is doing whatever he can to prove he can be who Shiro thought he was. With a new co-paladian to help Lance pilot the Red Lion and her helping him learn he doesn't need to live up to anyone's expectations.
