Furious yells followed you as you raced through the woods. Typical. You'd been having a lovely, peaceful, stroll with your boyfriend, Merlin. Then, as toruble literally finds him everywhere, you were ambushed. Now you were running as fast as you could, being chased (naturally) by angry thugs. You looked back, and yelped as the breath was knocked out of you as you tripped over something, and fell to the ground. Your ankle was stuck in some sort of hole. Great.
"Merlin!" You yelled He raced back towards you as you gestured at your ankle. But they were here, hands grasping at your now torn dress. Suddenly your ankle was freed, and you frowned. You could have sworn you saw Merlin's eyes glow gold for a second... The thought was yanked from your head as Merlin pulled you to your feet and ran with you, still holding your hand. Camelot flew into view as you fled the forest. Guards raced out to assist your flight, others beating back your rabid pursuers.
Soon you were seated on Merlin's bed, recovering with him, his arm casually wrapped around your waist.
"Thank you." You spoke or the first time since you had yelled his name in the forest.
Merline looked quizzically at you.
"You saved me. Back in the woods. If you hadn't, I... I wouldn;t be here."
"I love you, (y/n)." Merlin replied honestly, kissing your cheek.
"I love you too." you smiled, head restingg on his shoulder.
