Eleventh Birthday

I sat up as fast as a lion prepared to attack. My bleach blonde hair danced about my tanned face. My crystal clear eyes that were unmistakably green glinted in the light of the window. The birds in the tall oak outside, sang a beautiful tunes as loud as elephant blowing its trunk. Thoughts swirled about my head, suddenly the world came in to focus. I leapt from my bed and started to jump on my sisters. She awoke with a startle. "Ella..!" She moaned, getting up, "Ella what are you doing?" I smiled my devilish my smile, my eyes glowed with mischief. I didn't speak though, my mouth was completely dry. Quickly I dashed to the bathroom to run myself a drink of water. I felt much better. "Oh my god it's my ELEVENTH BIRTHDAY!" I screamed, just to make sure it woke the whole household. My mum came out of her room, checking the time on her phone, her eyes were red,she looked tired. "Ella, go do your chores, then we will open your presents." She said half way through a yawn. My excitement sunk, chores on my birthday,your joking. My mum looked at me with disgrace. That's when I realised I'd been thinking out loud. I let out a groan of dislike and walked extremely slowly to my room, just to annoy my mum,pulled out a set of clothes and set off to bath my dog.

I stared at the clock with my bulging eyes. It was quarter past eleven, my best friend Madilynn was coming over soon. Jolts of excitement whizzed through as fast as lightning. My blue top was all wet, I was sweating after doing all my chores, it was very uncomfortable. I didn't what to blink incase I missed one tick, it was so pressuring. My eyes stung like never before! I heard a sound at the door, next thing I knew I was racing to get to the door. I fell down the last few stairs and skidded across my patio floor then opened the door. Madilynn was standing right outside my door, her grey eyes looked so dull but so bright at the same time, I stared into them. "Hio Ducks!" She said in her I'm so swag voice, I like that voice. "Hia Madilynn!" I said in excitement! She came into the door and run wickedly fast upstairs. "I need to talk to you!" She said in a urgent voice, infact I'd never heard so urgent. It was like my stomach had just tied up in a knot, I was really worried." What is it?" I asked slowly, just to hide my worried voice. She pulled back her shiny brunet hair to reveal half her ear was missing and bloody, then she pointed out two grey lumps growing on her head. Confused, I looked at her ear to head ear to head. "And it's not just me look, feel just above your forehead." She said looking at me with huge eyes. I thought she was talking nonsense when.. I felt it something pointed. Worried yet curious I ran towards my tall shiny mirror and examined the thing on my head. I couldn't make what it was, but it was definitely rainbow. "What!" I panted, "What!" "Let's just ignore it." Madilynn suggested, "I hear you got a new xbox for your birthday!" I bro-fisted her then switched on my xbox. We spent the next two hours sitting there gaming, on minecraft, when it started up again. Sharp pains ran through me I couldn't feel my body parts. Without thought, I shut my eyes really tight hoping it was just a dream. Suddenly a warm liquid was trickling down the side of my face, I heard Madilynn gasp, I screamed in pain and fell to the floor. Suddenly it all stopped. The blood stains were still there, but something new was there to.. My head was far heavier than normal and weighing me down. I got up. I felt numb and shaken up. When I reached the mirror I gasped in amazement. A huge rainbow horn was resting where that pointed thing was. I craned my neck over to Madilynn she had been crying to, all down her neck was stained with blood. Suddenly I realised she had no ears! Instead they sitting on the top of her head, but they weren't human ears they were infact.. cat ears! "What happened?" I croaked. "I don't know.." She replied breathlessly, "It was like m-" But she was cut of by mum calling up the stairs telling us to start getting ready. What do you expect? The first thing we did was run to the bathroom to wash all this blood of our faces,mostly so mum wouldn't freak out, it was bad enough we had to explain the horn and the ears. We got dressed into our black clothes, black hat gloves and all, hopped down the stairs in our swagger leather black boots, to the car.

My cousins were waiting there in the car for us. As we approached they both stared at us in 'aw'. "Ella.." Said Jacob confused, he was the second oldest of my three cousins, Blossom,Jacob and Matthew. "Erm.....wh-what's that on your.. head? I felt a stream of rage and embarrassment flow through me. I looked at Madilynn, she looked like she didn't want to tell our story of pain either. So I simply said 'hat' and sat down looking threatingly at Jacob as though I was saying 'don't bring up the subject again'. I was quite jolly for the rest of the trip. "And the last one said 'weeeeeeeeee' and landed in a pool of wee." My youngest cousin Matthew told us. We laughed at this! "So corny!" Madilynn tried to explain but she was half way through a snigger. We had sausage rolls and marshmallows, I even did the chubby bunny challenge! My cousin, Jacob, even had his iPad! We watched him play a game called granny smith's apples. It was funny watching him playing a game where there's granny's on roller skates! Suddenly we drove into a alleyway. All old hags and men with rotten teeth Watched us drive past. Then Madilynn whispered in my ear, "creepy stalkers.". I couldn't help I burst into fits of laughter, which drew even more attention to us. Then we parked outside the most beautiful coloured building with big double doors and a poster at the top of the building saying 'lazerzone'.
