It was a day, not just any day, a beautiful day. One which was on the day before Halloween. Livia, Brook, and Jake were walking around when Jake stated to talk about the house. The haunted one. At the corner of Sun street. He was telling the girls about the ritual that was performed and told the story of Willow. "Some say that feel her body still lying on the bed and Her soul stands next to it. And if you try to blow out one of the candles then you wont make it out alive." The girls didn't believe him so they made a plan.
They were going to go there, at midnight of this day, and stay until 3:33 am in the morning. They agreed to meet right at the edge of the property line and go in together. Jake bringing an axe, Livia bringing flashlight, and Brook bringing just a phone. In addition to the plan, everyone brings some emergency food. All agreed to what was said and no one complained.
It was 11:47 and everyone was getting ready to head out. "Mom ill be back home tomorrow,"
"Just be back by dinner, and Jake,"
"What?"
"I love you."
"Bye."
Jake left without a hurry, Livia and Brook were at Livia's and just left. Her parents weren't home, so there was nothing holding her back. "Honestly i'm really scared, and nervous. I mean what if all the rumors were true." Brook's hands were shaking, and she shows Livia. "See, I'm not lying." Livia kept walking in fear too. The girls arrive at the property line where they were about to wait for Jake. "roar!" Jake jumps out from behind a bush."ahhh!" the girls scream."Ha, just getting you girls ready. But you don't seem like it."
"We are, so let's go." Livia scolded trying to just get it over with.
The three friends start to walk towards the house. Jake going first. The front door was boarded up so Jake took his ax and swung as hard as he could. Dust flying all over the place. Jake opened the door and went in, hardly being noticed in the dust. He coughed a little but then got over it. So did the girls. Livia entering next, and Brook following behind cautiously and nervously. They all start to walk through the house. You could hear the chatter of the girls teeth, and feel the goosebumps of everyone around.
Jake, Livia, and Brook started to look around. "Guys, I think I found the bedroom..." Jake was standing in the doorway of a room. He could feel something. It was a feeling of something standing face to face with him. Then he noticed a body shaped indent in the comforter. He had this urge to walk towards it. An urge that he had no control over.
The girls eventually came up behind him. Jake started to walk to the bed. Slowly. He started to feel a slight pain in his chest. Then right when he was about to stroke his hand across the indent. "Jake, what are you doing?" He stopped and snapped out of it. He turned around. "What?!" he was confused about where he was what he was doing. "You were acting creepy. Remember we are here to blow out a candle." Livia said with a calm, bold, shaking voice. They continued to find the bathroom. Jake following the girls. He stopped at the door way and looked back. He heard some sort of wind sound. Again he felt the same pain, then he started to walk.
"Found the bathroom, and i don't see anything." Brook looked away for a quick second to see where everyone else was. Jake pointed to the bathroom. She looked backed and there were three lit candles. She jumped a little in fear. "Okay which one of you are going to blow out a candle?" Jake smiled and looked at Brook. "No, no, i'm not doing it!" Brook wouldn't give up."all in favor for Brook say I."
"I" whispered Livia. "I"Jake said in a passionate voice. "Fine i'll do it." Brook slowly walked up to a candle. The one in the middle. She asked Jake what the time was. It was exactly 3:33 a.m. She blew it out in a delicate and peaceful manner. The smoke rose up and fogged up the room. "Ahhhhhhh!" Thud. Livia and Jake backed up. A minute later when the smoke cleared up she was on the floor not breathing. Jake quickly went over blew out the other two candles and Livia ran out of the house as fast as she could, not taking a break to catch their breath. She made it to the town center and stood there. Jake started to limp towards her and fell. That was when they found out the talk was true.
It was silent for a second. Jake took one last deep breath and it went dead silent for the last time. The same smoke came rolling in as Livia stood there watching. The smoke cleared up. She ran, and she ran until she couldn't run much longer. she made it home, went to her room, shut the light off, locked her door, and cried. Livia cried a river, a lakes worth of water.
Twenty-four hours later there was a search party looking for Brook and Jake. All parents worried sick. Jake's parents were scared and you could feel the room was filled with their fear, anger, and sadness. Brook's Mom felt the same way. But soon later they found only nothing. Livia showed the police where the bodies where. But there was nothing, nothing at all. When they looked for Brook's body they didn't find her. They found three lit candles. When the walk in to investigate everyone in the room could feel the cold go to warm. Not just any warmth. It felt like the warmth of a breathing body, a living, breathing, body.
And soon later began a whole new story.
The End.
