"Alexander."
"Father, what can I do for you?" Alex said exiting his room.
"All the other Lords are asking me when you will be throwing another one of you extraordinary parties?" Asher stood leaning against the wall staring at his son intently. The only reason he had agreed to come to get a date for the party was he wanted to humiliate Damien some more. For some reason that Pet brought out desires deep within him that he had buried. After his wife died he had refused to feel desire for anyone, but Damien had awakened them and forced them to the surface. He was going to make the kid pay for that.
"I dont know when I'm going to throw another party," Alexander said staring at his father. "Why are you the one asking me instead of one of the other Lords?" His eyes narrowing suspiciously.
"Can't a father come and check up on his son?" Asher tried to sound innocent, but he was never really good at it. He was a vicious man by nature. Only his wife had brought out his tenderness.
"You haven't come to check up on me since mother died. And I was still living with you in that a cursed mansion." Alex crossed his arms over his chest. "Now what is your reason for coming here?"
It wasnt a question. Asher was impressed that his son was standing up to him. He had always been the one to back down in every fight they had. What had made him change? Asher thought.
The reason I came was to get a date for the party. The other Lords are anxiously awaiting it." He sighed when his son refused to believe him. "Fine. I came to see Damien as well."
Alex stiffened. "Why?"
"I wanted to see if he has been acting according to his position."
The bedroom door opened and Damien strode out dressed in nothing but a robe. When he noticed Asher he grew pale and his eyes filled with fear and something else. He looked away before Asher could figure out what it was. He pushed away from the wall and strode towards Damien.
Alexander stepped in his path. "Leave. You have no business with my Pet."
His voice was firm and Asher looked at him. "Don't worry, Alexander. I'm not here to hurt him, unless he steps out of bound."
He shoved his son away and continued towards Damien. He could feel his sons eyes burning into his back. As Asher drew nearer, Damien kept his eyes on the floor while somehow sensing Asher coming closer. When Asher tried to touch him he took a step back to avoid the touch. Asher stalked him amused at how he still kept his eyes on the floor while retreating. Asher backed Damien right into the wall. He slammed his right hand against the wall blocking the only other way out while he reached for Damien with his left. He used Damiens chin to yank his face up. He still refused to meet Asher's gaze.
Asher smiled. He ran his hand along the fabric of the robe calling forth a gasp from Damien. He quickly bit his lip and glared at the floor. He refused to give Asher any reaction. Such a stubborn boy, he thought.
"I will break you, Damien," Asher whispered in his ear.
Damien moved his head to glare at him but quickly looked away.
"There is no way I'll bow to you, My Lord," Damien ground out. How he wished he could stare into those gray eyes and let Asher see his determination.
"Go ahead, Damien. Look me in the eye. I am dying to see into those beautiful blue eyes."
He turned his head slowly and gave Asher the full force of his gaze.
Asher smiled. "So much hatred." He licked Damiens cheek. He glanced down and noticed Damiens clenched fists. "You want to hit me, dont you?" He leaned down to lay a kiss on Damiens lips.
