So in my art class we have started a clay unit and we're told to make a clay pumpkin since Halloween is coming up.
My original plan was to make it look like jack skellington from the nightmare before Christmas but as soon as I put my stem on my idea immediately changed. I quickly did a sketch in my sketch book and started carving until it turned into this.

Then it was fired and I got to start to glaze it (paint). It took me a few days and I had to learn a new technique but I finished and finally got to take it home. Now it looks like this.

Now I have it hidden in my closet as it is a Christmas present for my sister. I love how it turned out. Let me know what you guys think.
P.S. if any of you don't know who this is it is the mayor from the nightmare before Christmas.
