Sehun's Little Brother

Chapter 6

It was the year 1996 , Sehun's mother left his father two years prior. In that time, his father started dating a women that was pregnant from her previous marriage. That's right, the pregnant woman is Tae-Young's mother. She often talked about the unborn child along with Sehun's father. Sehun would get jealous at the mention of this child.

The one time Sehun got really jealous and he let everyone know it too. "Appa, Sehunnie wants attention. Baby isn't here so give Sehunnie attention." Sehun's father and stepmother both laughed at the two year old. "Okay okay, come here Sehun."

Sehun runs to his father's open arms. "Sehun, just because we talk about the baby a lot, it doesn't mean we don't care about you." Sehun pouted as he was gently scolded on being jealous at someone who has yet to see the world. The stepmother suddenly crippled over in pain . "Honey, the baby." Everyone in the room went on full alert.

The baby constantly caused his mother pain. It wasn't his fault though. The baby was restless and wasn't due until October. It was currently May 15th and the baby was acting up again. No body knew the reasoning for the baby's energetic enthusiasm for kicking the womb.

One moment everything was okay and then the woman's water broke unexpectedly. (A/N: I don't think that's possible but eh, nothing makes complete sense in fanfic.)"T-The baby is coming n-now ." The father quickly took his soon to be wife to the hospital. She was immediately emitted into delivery. It was a nerve wracking situation for both than man and woman.

Sehun was with both his grandmothers, his dad's mom and his stepmother's mom. He didn't really understand what was going on at the moment. All he knew was that everyone was panicking. Was there something wrong with the baby? he thought. Even though he was just jealous of the baby a couple of hours ago, he was starting to get antsy.

Sehun wasn't your average two year old. He knew what was going on around him though he pretended to be naive. Sehun knew something was up the moment everyone was rushing to the hospital. He felt some of this was his fault for purposely do things that would stress his stepmother and his father. He was a two year old after all and he wanted attention instead of talking about the baby.

Now the baby is possibly in danger because of his recklessness. Sehun felt upset knowing that he was the reason of this happening. The baby was fine until Sehun started acting up and it was normal to be jealous. No one blamed Sehun for his jealous moments. The husband and wife figured he'd stop after the baby was born, and they were right, but the baby has yet to come.

There was a altercation on the baby not coming out of the womb. There was a small hole in the imbelical cord and infection had worked itself up towards the baby. "Try to push one more time Ma'am. If the child doesn't move, we're got to have to do a C-section." The doctor told the wife to give one hard push and the baby moved to angle that the doctor could guide him out.

"We're gonna cut the cord immediately." The nurse safely but quickly cut the cord to prevent the infection actually making to the baby. The sound of a baby's cry brought slight join to Sehun as he knows the baby made it. "We'll have to put him in the NICU since he was born five months early. He might not make it though." (A/N: It's possible to happen, but the baby would most likely die. Let me be it's the magic of fanfic. 😭😂)

Tears weld up in both the husband's and wife's eyes. "Can our son come see his little brother just in case little Tae-Young doesn't make it?" The doctor nodded and the husband went to get his son. "Sehun would you like to see you're brother?" Sehun nodded and noted that something bad must have happened to make his dad cry.

"Appa, what's wrong?" Sehun looked up at his father. The father shook his head and guided Sehun into the room where the really tiny Tae-Young was being held by his mother. "This is your little brother Tae-Young." Neither one wanted to tell Sehun that Tae-Young as a high chance of not surviving after seeing the "brotherly love" within his eyes. They didn't want to ruin the happiness that Sehun showed towards baby Tae-Young so they decided to wait until he calmed down to tell him the bad news.
