"StarFire!" You shouted to the orange skinned teen. You and him had been friends for about a year now ever since he arrived on Earth. "Yes ____?" He called back to you as he slowed his walking pace slightly. Right now you two were suposed to be going out for a walk together, but obviously that wasnt happening.

He kept getting side tracked about every little thing and would rush off which wasn't very fun for you. "Um!" You stopped to catch your breath from walking so fast for such a long time. "Can you slow down a bit? Please...!" You noticed out of the corners of your eyes that he had stopped and was walking your way now. "____?" He said a bit concerned. "Yeah?' You replied finally getting your breath back now.

Suddenly he got almost nose to nose with you looking deeply into your eyes, concern filling his (as well as confusion...AND LOVE ehem...). Your face turned a dark shade of red. "Am I....forcing you to do something you dont want to do?" His voice sounded full of guilt and a bit sad.

Upon hearing him and seeing him like this you couldnt help but to quickly try anything to make him feel better. "No-NoNo!" You stuttered quickly, "Of course your not! I mean....I just..." You tried to think on how to word how you really felt carefully so you wouldnt hurt him. "Well....I just dont think you should rush off so....-" "Quickly? If thats how you felt you couldve just told me simply." He said with a smile.

Oh gosh that smile. It always made you get those butterflies in your stomach and your face turn all hot. "Hehee yeah" You said as you stood up to your full height again.

"Here." He held out his hand to you. "Uh...?" You looked at his hand and back to him in a dazed fashion. "You want me to hold your hand?" 'Gosh thats was such a stupid response!' you scolded yourself in your mind for making such a remark to something so obvious.

But he laughed at that stupid remark...

"Of course ____, why else would I hold my hand out to you." He said cooly. His voice always made your heart skip a beat...almost everything about him made something go wrong with your body, hot cheeks, weak legs, butterflies in the tummy.

You took his hand smiling as casually as you could and you both started walking...well, more like him leading you to different places around the park. Of course there would be those times when he would speed up again and try rushing off with you attached to him, but he would quickly relise his mistake and stop to ask if you were okay in which you would reply "Yes" or laugh it off.

Eventually it was almost dark and the sun was setting, and here you two were sitting on the park bench alone, but together, watching the sun fall and sky become painted in beautiful streaks of color, pink, orange, a bit of greyish blue for night.

"____..." Starfire said softly, eyes staring straight at the sun setting. "Yes Star?" You replied in the same maner, glancing at him. He looked like he was debating on something with himself for a while before finally he spoke. "If I told you....I loved you...what do you think would happen?" He asked, his voice a bit shaky.

Your face became warm again, butterflies flew around in your stomach and your legs felt weak. Good thing you were sitting down or else you wouldve fallen by now. "I-I-I-!" You stuttered out. 'I cant even talk now!' You panicked in your mind. "____?" He looked your way with a confused expression on his face.

"I-I'm fine...!" You tried your best to reply calmly but everything was failing now. "I Uh...." you started, "I think..I-I think I would s-say I l-l-love y-" You cut off when a pair of warm lips met your own. "!" You couldnt help but be shocked at first but quickly realized what was happening and slowly fell into the kiss yourself.

He pulled away slowly after a few moments. "I Love you ___" The way he said it sounded stern like he was forcing himself to say it aloud. "No more hiding our feelings understood?" He smirked a bit. "...Fine!" You shouted playfully and lightly pushed him, both of you laughing and giggling. "And.....I love you too Star...."

Those words were all that needed to be heard as you two shared another kiss of passion in front of an almost set sun....
