There was a time when Peter Hale's eyes glowed yellow. Not blue.
That was eight years ago. They now glowed that harmless, luminous, beautiful blue. A warning.
The color of a killer.
The color of one who had murdered an innocent.
No, he doesn't regret going on a murder spree. But contrary to popular belief, he felt a smidge of guilt when he killed Laura, his lovely niece. But that quickly disappeared when he felt the power rushing through him and he howled and let loose a roar so fulfilling when he had become alpha.
When his eyes had glowed red.
___
Peter Hale was a secretive child.
From when he was born, he didn't often share much, and if he saw or heard something he shouldn't have he wouldn't tell.
Well. At least. Without a favor.
If Peter wanted something, he got it. He was always determined, focusing his mind on one thing and striving to reach that goal. To most that would be a beautiful quality. To the Hale's, it was a curse.
As a child, Peter would cheat and lie and get away with it, no sign of wrong doing evident. He would act innocent, something he most certainly wasn't. Talia knew that. But his dear older sister, whom he used ot be close with, believed Peter was capable of change.
Oh, dear, dear, Talia. Beloved sister. How wrong you were.
Peter liked to mislead people, liked to throw them one way and then another. He was manipulative.
He was strong. Powerful. And he knew it. Rarely was there remorse, guilt.
He felt guilt, less then a smidge, when he had been responsible for Paige, Derek's first love, despite Ennis giving her the bite and resulting with the young human girl's body rejecting it.
But Peter would never tell people that he had only done it to bring Derek back to him. To influence him. To pull the strings like a puppermaster and Derek was his marionette.
The only reason Peter ever shook with fear, was because Ennis had been an alpha full of brawn and anger. Peter had been young and was more worried of getting killed then getting caught.
Then Derek started to date Kate Argent a few months after. Yes, the boy thought he was in love. Ha! Love? It was laughable to Peter!
But his dear nephew had gone and got caught up in his own emotions like a fool and had made his family perish.
Peter was the only survivor. Burnt. Bloody. When he slipped into a coma, he swore revenge after he could heal. To become an alpha. To avenge his family, so he told the people around him.
Really.
____
Peter is back from the dead.
His plan was to attack the Lydia Martin, the beautiful banshee full of intelligence. He would use her and on the worm moon he would rise from the 'dead' and become a living breathing werewolf again.
It worked.
He makes a few calls, descrete and quiet about everything. And soon, he's just another human being. Psh. As if.
He lays low. Acts as if he is there to help. Helps kill Jackson and let him revive again.
In reality, in his dark, twisted, selfish mind, he is plotting to become alpha again.
Yes, he gains emotion again, the ability to feel, to know what physical pain is.
But he cares not for emotion. It only gets in the way.
When the Alpha pack comes, along with the Darach and his thought to be dead niece, Cora, he makes a very good act of trying to be in the neutral but good area.
Fools.
Peter kills 'Jennifer Blake' in anger when she taunts him. When she is the one to figure for what he truly is. Only murderer could understand another murderer. But he silences her before she can ever have another chance to live.
He will always be the alpha.
Not Talia. Not Laura. Not Derek. Not even Scott.
Peter will always be the alpha.
The nogitsune rolls around after the young man, Stiles Stilinski, starts to have nightmares like the young huntress, Allison Argent, and the True alpha, Peter thinks with disgust and mild pride, Scott McCall.
The demon fox posses the human and is like Peter was to Derek. A Puppetmaster and a marionette.
The Nogitsune doesn't come after Peter, surprisingly.
Oooh, but it is a true delight to see the McCall pack squirm under the demon's thumb.
Ha, ha, how lovely.
He feels only a bit of, he wouldn't necassarily call it love, more of tolernce and maybe trust, for Derek.
It is an absolute piece of art to see the the death of two unfold.
First Allison, the Aiden. The huntress, one of the last of the Argent's, and the wolf, a former alpha and murderer turned good.
The Benefactor. Assassins.
Now, Peter hadn't actually been in his right mind. Yes, maybe he might've shaped up the supernatural in Beacon Hills, made them tougher, more ruthless. It was what he thought was right.
But then that banshee, the damn banshee, Meredith Walker, decided to conduct his plans for him. The damn girl.
He did enjoy killing the Mute, and he had only helped Kate to get what he want. To steal the power of the Alpha from Scott McCall.
He was Peter's beta first, after all.
But even in his brilliant, dark mind, even though his plan wasn't one of the best, he knew not to underestimate Scott.
And when his blood daughter, Malia, tried to step in? Ah, the poor girl. At least she tried to take him, even though she knew he was stronger.
But in the end, Peter still lost.
And got thrown into Eichen House!
________
Peter Hale will always come out on top.
He will rise to the occasion, even if he is locked up with that three eyed man, Valack.
Because, one way or another, and this may be a bit arrogant of him, if he says so himself, they need him. He will always come out on top because he is invincible.
No fire, coma, hunters, kanimas, alpha packs, darachs, nogitsunes, or assassins will ever stop him. Because Peter Hale? He is many things, he is. He knows it. He can't see the future but he can always plan and try to make it go his way. He knows he'll never actually know the future. But the something he is sure of?
He will be remebered. Alpha or not.
Oh, and one more thing?
Peter Hale isn't sorry.
