Chapter 5: Who is Roman?

The next morning, Roman was at the warehouse when Seth walked in.

"I thought you were on babysitting duty today?" Seth asked him.

"No. I watched her all night. Adam has her today." Roman said as he wiped his eyes.

"You look like hell man. Did you get any sleep?" Seth asked.

"No." Roman said.

Seth looked down at his friend for a moment.

"Look man, I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to come at you like that." Roman told him.

"No, it's okay. I get where you're coming from." Seth said.

"Even though I am completely against you seeing this girl.. I've got your back." Roman said.

"You do?" Seth asked in surprise.

"Yeah. I even told Adam that I'd watch her tonight so you guys can go on your stupid date." Roman told him.

"Are you going to be parked outside like a creeper?" Seth asked.

"Yes." Roman told him.

"Can't you hang out with Charlotte or something? You know.. give us a little privacy?" Seth asked.

"Yeah.. That's not going to happen." Roman told him.

Seth rolled his eyes and let out a sigh.

"Whatever." Seth said.

When Dean pulled up, Roman noticed Seth get uncomfortable.

"Hey, what's been going on with you and Ambrose? He doesn't know about you and Lexi does he?" Roman asked.

Seth looked down shamefully as Dean walked in the warehouse.

"No.. It's nothing." Seth told him.

Dean approached holding his back.

"What's wrong with you?" Roman laughed.

"My back is killing me." Dean said.

"Are you still crashing on Lexi's couch?" Roman asked.

"Yeah." Dean said.

Seth watched Dean for a moment with reluctance.

"You can crash at my place if you want. I still have a spare bed in my guest room." Seth told him.

Dean looked at Seth with a hint of annoyance.

"No thanks." Dean told him.

Roman watched his friends for a moment, knowing that something wasn't right.

Hunter walked in and approached the guys.

"How's the governors daughter?" Hunter asked.

"She's interesting I'll give her that." Roman laughed.

"What does that mean?" Seth asked curiously.

"Well she's sleeping with her professor for starters." Roman began.

Seth smiled to himself.

"Not bad." Seth said.

"And she bought a gun yesterday." Roman continued.

"She bought a gun?" Seth asked.

"Seth?" Hunter said.

"Yeah?" Seth asked.

"Shut the hell up for a minute." Hunter told him.

"Right." Seth said uncomfortably.

"Who sold her the gun?" Hunter asked.
