Baekhyun

"Baekhyun!!!!! Guess what!?!" Chanyeol came to me while jumping excitedly.

"What?" I asked.

"I got scouted by an SM worker and they said that I will be auditioning this weekend!" he cheered, shaking me back and forth.

"Jinjja! Wow... I'm sure you'll pass the audition with those skill of yours~" I chuckled, complimenting him.

"Thanks Baekhyun-ah~ Now, please help me pick a song for the audition!" he ordered as he pulled me to the music room.

"Class is starting in 15 minutes, can't we pick the song in the classroom?" I frowned, not wanting to be late for class.

"Don't worry, it won't take long!" he smiled ear to ear.

Park Chanyeol has been my best-friend since middle school. We weren't one of the popular guys, but we were also not the ones who gets bullied. From other people's perspective, we're more to the ordinary ones - the ones that no one really cares about. It's not a big deal since we don't really care about it anyway. Besides the two of us, we have some other friends from Music Club but we're not that close to them.

"What's a good song for me?" Chanyeol asked.

"Uhh... Oh! Maybe you can try Junggigo and SoYou's 'Some'?" I suggested since it was one of my all time favorite song.

"Ya! Do you think I can sing that high with this low voice of mine!?!" Chanyeol pouted.

I chuckled, "Fine~ How about Outsider's 'Loner'?"

"How can I not think about that!!!! Komawo Baekhyuneeeeeee!" Chanyeol beamed.

"You're very welcome Mr. Park. Now, can we please go back to class before we're late!" I questioned, giving him the serious face even though it was obvious that I was joking around.

"Oh right! Let's go~" he went out the music room and skipped through the hallway, leaving me alone.

"*sigh* That guy is really something!" I shook my head before following behind.

The day went by like any other day besides the fact that all Chanyeol could talk about is the audition. I was actually envious of Chanyeol - Chanyeol is someone who anyone would want to be like, he composes his own songs; he can rap and sing without any problem; he also has the height and look any guy would wish for. While I, don't have all that... my singing skills are not something people would be surprised about; I can only play the piano which is not anything special; also, I don't have the height and looks that people would wish for. I am, fairly, just an ordinary guy full of nothingness.

"Do you want to hang out after the audition this Saturday?" he asked, excitedly.

"Yea sure, if that makes you feel better~" I agreed, smiling.

As Chanyeol continued blabbering his excitements, my gaze eventually landed on TaeRin, the girl I've been having a crush on for years. I would sometimes try to get her attention by picking the same course as her and seating beside her but none of them worked since she never actually paid attention to the people around her.

I told my brother about it to get some suggestions from him but the one thing that he always say was "confess to her" and I never listened because that would be the most nerve-wracking thing I have ever done in my whole life. I mean, who in the world would accept a confession from a guy they never talked to nor noticed.

"Baek, were you listening to what I was saying?" Chanyeol called, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Oh, sorry... what were you saying?" I apologized.

"Yah! You should've just told me that you're not interested instead of making me say all these stuff for nothing!" he scowled.

"No!!! You misunderstood, I am interested~ I was just slightly distracted by um.. uh... a bug!" I half-lied.

"Liar... there's no bug here!" Chanyeol sulked.

"Fine, I'm sorry. The food will be on me on Saturday, how's that?" I inquired.

"Deal!" Chanyeol clapped and started jumping around for the millionth time today.

After school...

I went straight to my part-time job since I have a shift 30 minutes after school finishes. It's not because I'm poor, I actually come from a middle class family but my dad recently got sick and my mom needs to take care of him while my brother is too young to work so I decided to be the one to earn money for them.

"Oh! Baekhyun, you're early today~" Manager Lee smiled.

"Nae, the hallway wasn't that crowded today so I got out of school faster than usual," I replied.

"Ok then, I have a feeling that today's going to be a great day so we better get ready!" Manager Lee clapped. Some people might think that it's weird to just guess and all but Manager Lee has been doing this since the first time I worked there and surprisingly, he's always right! Every time he said that it's a bad day, there would only be 5- 10 customers that day. But once he say that its a good day, the cafe would be packed with people lining up outside for no particular reason. It's weird how he always make guesses but I guess that's what entertains us the most when we're working since we would wonder whether he got it correct or not.

I washed all the cups, plates and utensils cleanly before moving on to start burning the coffee beans. The burning smell of the coffee beans always makes me feel relaxed and at ease, it sometimes even makes me forget about my problems.

30 minutes after my shift started, the first customer for the afternoon finally came.

"Welcome to Xing Ca-" I stopped, eyes widened as I stared at the person in front of me.

"T..Taerin..." I muttered as I continued staring at her.

"Oh~ Are you from Seong Rim High School?" she asked, a little taken aback by the fact that I know her name.

"U..uh, yeah~ We're in the same Music, Art, English and Math class," I awkwardly rubbed the back of my head.

"Ahh~ I'm so sorry for not recognizing you, there's just so many people in sch-" "Wait! Are you perhaps the guy who hangs out with Park Chanyeol!?! Umm... Byun B...BaekHeon?" she exclaimed.

"Byun BaekHyun not Heon... and yes, I am Chanyeol's best-friend," Baekhyun nodded, he was half-happy by the fact that she knows him but also half-sad since she recognize him for being 'the guys who hangs out with Park Chanyeol' instead of Baekhyun, himself.

"What would you like to have?" I asked, since I will be in big trouble if she doesn't order anything and make the other customers wait.

"I'll have a Chocolate Bubble Tea for to go~" she ordered.

"The total is 15,000 Won," I concluded.

"Here!" she gave me the money and I started making her chocolate bubble tea.

When I finished making it, I gave it to her and we bid good bye.

If only... you knew how much I crave for your attention...
