The Alpha's Runt

Chapter 7

After a while of talking to mason and having the other kids laughing at us because we are runt, james came and took me back to the pack house. James told me that i started school tomorrow with jake and other pack members.

As the sub started to set, i walked out side and sat down on the grass i looked around and seen kids still running around, then i seen one kid running into the forest, looking closer i seen it was mason.

I got up and ran after him"mason, stop" i yelled as looked for him "mason" i found his scent and followed it. Mason sat next to a tree crying "mason, you shouldn't be out here" i said looking at him "they hate me" he cried, i sat down next to him and picked him up and sat him on my lap.

He held on to me as he cried, we heard a snap i looked towards the sound and seen a wolf walking out growling i put mason down "stay their and call for help" i told him as i shifted and growled back at the brown wolf as another black wolf came out.

The black wolf lunged at mason but i jumped in front of him before they got him, i snapped at his neck the brown wolf lunged at me tackling me to the ground snapping at my neck, i clawed at the rouges chest.

After a bit of fighting i seen one of them going for mason, pushed the other wolf off me as black wolf picked up mason "mason!" i yelled in mind link as i ran after them "mason, i'm going to grab your arm it will hurt but its the only way to get you" he nodded as he cried.

I ran next to the wolf and grabbed masons arm and pulled him his shirt ripped as i pulled him out of the rouges mouth and started to run "James, help" i whimpered as my vision started to go "we are coming april, hold on" i collapsed "mason hide" i said as i closed my eyes

I opened my eye and looked around to see i was in a white room i seen jake next to the bed i was on "jake?" his eyes shot up "april, your ok" i nodded "mason?" he smiled "he is safe thanks to you" i sighed "good".

Max came in and checked my out and said i was free to go, jake helped me to the pack house, we sat down and watched ice age 3. half way into the movie i heard mason "april" he ran at me and jumped into my arms and hugged me, fred walked in "april i owe you" i shook my head "no i was protecting the pack, but we need to get the pack to stop making fun of the runts" he nodded and picked mason up and left.

Resting my head on jakes lap i slowly started to fall asleep "i love you, april" jake whisper "i love you too jake" i looked up at him and smiled before closing my eyes.
