I was at my tree on a nice warm sunny day sitting at the bottom in the shade. I was sitting on my blanket I always bring for comfort and I had my favorite book out, reading. But right when I got lost in the words on the pages I heard footsteps of someone walking towards me. I thought I was hearing things. Then I could feel something or someone sit next to me.
"May I ask whom you might be?" I was trying to finish reading the page I was on as I had the words spill out of my mouth. "Lucas," he stuttered, "My name is Lucas." I finished reading my page then looked up at him. "Sorry for being rude...I'm Livian." I paused between my words. He laughed a little as he spoke. "Nice name. So what where you reading,"he chuckled again. "It's uh, The Girl who change him. It's a good book." We looked each other in the eyes. His eyes looked as if an angel put an ocean there. And I felt as if I was sailing. Then a small gust of wind blew, I closed my eyes and looked down. As I blushed. "So how old are you?" I ask. "15, You?"
"14. I turn 15 in two months." I pause for a couple seconds. I turn my body and look at him. "So why are you here?" He turns a little red but keeps his cool," Well I see you here everyday and I wanted to meet you. Also because I'm new here and I need some friends." He smiles. "How come I don't see you at school?" I tripped on my own words,"I..I'm home-schooled. My mom doesn't want me to go to a public school. But I like it because I have more free time." He gives me a confused look then, "What does your dad think of it." It hit me like a buttlet.
I felt as if an ocean was about to dump out of my eyes, and if my stomach were in knots tied at least twenty times. I sniffled, then sighed. "I don't have a dad anymore." I whimpered, and he noticed me about to cry. He quickly moved over towards me and gave me a hug. I cried on his shoulder. "It's my fault, It was all my fault..." Lucas tried to calm me down but I couldn't stop. All the memories I thought I forgot about all came back.
