The Battle of Coruscant

Invasion

In the Jedi Council room, The Jedi High Council, minus Obi-Wan Kenobi, were having a meeting. All of them were sitting down in their chairs, even Masters Plo Coon, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Stass Allie, who were communicating with the council via holograms, as they we're off-world.

Mace Windu was just saying, "Kenobi and Skywalker are on their way to Mandalore, to aid Asoka and Bo-Katan in the attack."

Yoda nodded and said, "The capture of Maul, imperative it is, yes. The Sith Lord and Dooku's master, lead us to them he will, yes."

After the Council nodded, Shaak Ti asked, "How goes the other sieges?"

Ki-Aid-Mundi answered 1st, "The battle on Mygeeto remains the same."

Plo Coon followed, "The Separatist forces on Cate Nemodia are nearly finished."

Lastly, Stass Allie added, "It will still take a little time to end the battle here, but the Separatist forces on are losing a lot of ground."

Before anything else could be said a loud explosion was heard and seen outside, as the Council members that were physically there got up to check, they saw hundreds of thousands of droids ships landing and firing on the city of Coruscant.

Windu shouted, "The city is under attack!"

Yoda jumped into action, "Defend the city we must!"

Kit Fisto pointed out, "We will need reinforcements."

Agen Kolar stated as he left, "I'll try to contact some of our other forces."

Coleman Kcaj asked the Masters over the holograms, "Can you send support?"

Ki-Aid-Mundi replied, "Unfortunately, I can't spare any troops."

Stass added, "It will take me some time to get things together."

Luckily, Plo-Koon jumped in, "I can spare myself and a few fighters. Will get there as soon as we can."

After that, the holograms vanished and the Jedi Masters headed out.

In a hangar bay, Mace was walking as Clone Troopers and Republic Fighters headed out to the battle.

Saesee Tiin came up to him and said, "Master Windu, enemy ships continue to spill out of Hyperspace. Our forces are holding, but they need help."

Mace turned to him and stated, "Get up there and give them a hand, Master Tiin." They both boarded their Jedi Fighters, "May the Force be with you."

"And you, my friend." They both took off after this.

In the city, citizens were running from B1 and B2 Battle Droids firing at them, while a few did get gunned down, 2 Gunships soon arrived and each dropped down a Clone on an AT-RT Walker, which opened fire on the Droids taking a few out. Then the 2 Gunships landed and deployed about 8 Clones each, who started opening fire at the Droids. Unfortunately, one Clone was shot and killed not long after getting off the Gunship. However, the Clones kept charging and shooting, taking down several Droids, but another Clone was killed in the charge. As the AT-RT's started gunning down more Droids, one of the B1's brought out a rocket launcher and fired it, killing 4 Clones. Luckily, another Clone with a machine gun blasted that Droid and many others down, while shouting, "SUCK LASER, CLANKERS!"

As the Droids numbers dwindled, one B1 started shouting in fear, "RETREAT!" While the Droids made an about-face and ran away, the Clones kept shooting, while holding their position, killing a few more Droids before they were out of sight.

In another part of the city, several Hailfire Droid s unleashed a barrage of missiles, taking down some AT-TE Walkers and several Clones. A stray missile even hit the Senate Apartment buildings, causing those inside, Padme, C-3PO, Captain Typho, and 2 Naboo Royal Guards, to fall over. When they got up, Typho turned to Padme and said, "M'lady we must get you to safety."
