The Battle of Coruscant

The Chase

Just outside the Chancellor's office Jedi's Shaak Ti, the Ithorian Roron Corobb, the Talz Foul Moudama, the Twi'lek B'ink Utrila, and the human Roth-Del Masona, 20 Clones, and 7 Senate Guards had just arrived but were stopped by the 2 Red Guards at the door. Shaak Ti insisted, "We must go in to escort the Chancellor to his secure bunker."

One of the Red Guards said, "We've been ordered by the Chancellor himself not to let anyone in."

B'ink shouted, "Do you not realize the entire planet is under siege!?"

Roth-Del joined in, "We have to get in their now!"

Just then the door behind the Red Guards slide opened revealing Palpatine, Ma Amedda, Sate Pestage, and 2 more Red Guards. Shaak Ti said as she and her group came in with the Red Guards, "Supreme Chancellor we must get you to safety."

Palpatine replied, nonchalantly, as he and the others walked over to the window, before turning to face the Jedi, "But the battles are so far off."

"Please, Chancellor we must follow safety protocol and get you all to-."

"Sorry my dear," turning to Mas Amedda and Sate Pestage, "but I've been talking it over with my advisors and we agree that I will not cower in the face of this treacherous attack. I must be strong for my people."

Mas Amedda nodded and added, "I agree. What kind of message would we be sending the Republic if our great leader didn't stand tall to protect his planet and people."

Just then a loud thud sound could be heard on repeat, as everyone looked around, Palpatine questioned, "Um, what is that- what is that sound?"

Shaak Ti in realization, "WE HAVE TO GO NOW!"

When the sound stopped, Palpatine smiled, "See, it was nothing." General Grievous head then appeared outside the window, upside down, and from the top. The glass behind Palpatine and his 2 advisors shattered, knocking them down. Grievous was now inside staring everyone down. As the others got up, Palpatine dusted himself off, "How dare you barge into my office." Pointing at the cyborg general, "Who do you think you are?"

Shaak Ti extended her hand out and said, "Chancellor, I don't think-."

Palpatine turned around to insist and reassure, "I'll take care of this." Facing Grievous again, "I am Supreme Chancellor Palpatine of the Galactic Republic and I will not be bullied by any thug who happens to-." He was interrupted when Grievous tried to grab him, but he, Mas Amedda, and Sate Pestage were Force pulled away in time, into the arms of Shaak Ti, Foul and B'ink respectively.

Shaak Ti shouted, "Take him!" As she, the other 4 Jedi, the Chancellor, his advisors, and 2 Clones, one with a regular rifle and one with a rocket launcher backed out of the room, with the door sliding closed behind them.

The 18 Clones, 7 Senate Guards, and the 4 Red Guards now faced off with Grievous, who growled. As the Clones and Senate Guards opened fire, the cyborg jumped up to dodge and landed in between the group, activating 2 of his lightsabers. He 1st sliced the rifles of 2 Clones in half, before slicing them across the chest, killing them. As more of the troops fired at him, the Cyborg reflected the blasts back, killing 2 Clones and Senate Guards. He then grabbed one of the Clones by the head, with his left leg, then slammed the Clone into a wall, before slicing his chest and killing him. 2 Clones charged at Grievous right and fired, but the Cyborg general deflected the blasts and killed one with a slice from the right shoulder to the chest. He then grabbed the other by the neck, with his right leg, slammed the Clone into the ground and crushed his throat, killing another one. 2 Red Guards came at both of Grievous sides and tried to hit him with their Staffs, but the Cyborg counter with his lightsabers, slicing the Staffs in half, before rotating his hands, slicing the Red Guards repeatedly with his now spinning lightsabers, killing them. He proceeded to charge forward with his spinning blades, slicing and killing 2 more Clones and Senate Guards. A slice destroyed another Clones rifle, so the Clone jumped on top of Grievous and started punching him in the head. Grievous stopped spinning his blades, split both his arms in half, now giving him 4, and grabbed the Clone by the head with his 2nd right hand. A stab through the chest with a lightsaber killed the Clone. After dropping the dead Clone to the floor, Grievous charged at a Senate Guard and killed him, by slicing him across the chest with both sabers in an X form. Another Red Guard charged right at the general but had his staff immediately sliced by the top from the Cyborgs saber. Grievous then grabbed the Red Guard by the head with his right foot and slammed the Guard into a wall, before killing him with a stab in the chest from his saber.
