#02: The Problem Child

Sayuri's Room

Surprisingly, the lady is a minimalist. There are just few objects scattered on her room. There's a center table which she uses for reviewing and a futon. That's all. All her clothes are gathered in the closet also used for storing extra blankets and pillows. There are no manga, no television, no mirror.

She opened her closet and grabbed at an old yet functional laptop. She checked on the one her instant boss had sent. She doesn't consider him as boss. They're just people whose connected because of mutual interest.

Sayuri's POV

Why am staying in an old man's run down place?

Dad and Mom sent me money to use for an apartment but it's such a waste. I saved it in my own personal bank. I remembered that father's old man has an apartment just few kilometers away from school, that's when you're riding a bike. Speaking of bike, I need to buy one to save from riding bus and the like.

Grandpa promised that he won't tell my parents about it. Plus, I told him that I would be buying our food from now on in exchange for him to zip his mouth.

Now, let's see.

Eh~ the book is actually a love novel. What a romantic. Disgusting~ Is he a high schooler? Fireworks? What a cliche.

Boom!
*Dog Barks!

*Sayuri covered her ears.

What in the world are those people in the other apartment doing? I opened the window and saw silhouettes of people gathered around one room. It sounds like they're having a party.

I called Grandpa since its such a waste to walk towards his room. "Those freaks are just shouting and having party. Aren't you going to do something?", I complained. "They're boys", Tanizaki sighed. "What? Shut up. Just because they're boys means they can disturb me working here", I clicked my tongue. "Sleep well", Tanizaki turned off the call.

I tried to ignore the noise but it's really annoying. One more time, I heard something popped. This is it. I need to do something tomorrow.

The next day,

Sayuri woke up late and marched towards the apartment. She's prepared to say all the complaints she has. She listed them all in her mind.

One more step and she's near the door. Kakeru opened it wearing his track suit. "Oh", he gave a polite bow. He's still under the roof thanks to Haiji. He can't be rude to the landlord's granddaughter. He raised his head and saw Sayuri wearing just a thin sando and shorts. She crossed her arms ready to fire the bullet when Kakeru's watch alarmed. It was a signal for him to start running. He ran away leaving the girl standing in front of the door.

Tanizaki saw her and guessed that she was flirting around.

"Go change your clothes!!!", he shouted and grabbed Sayuri by the hair.

University

Sayuri wore plainly this day. Tanizaki wouldn't allow her to wear knee high dress anymore. Plus, she already bought a bicycle online which means she needs to wear pants everyday.

She was able to finish one book in one night. The one she's working for was also amazed and booked her for the remaining books.

"Good morning", Rai patted her shoulders and felt how stiff it is. They walked towards the building. "What happened to you?", Rai noticed that she's not wearing make up. She also dressed down like a completely different person. "That old man threw all my make ups and said they're all evil", Sayuri sighed in defeat. "Don't worry. You're pretty just the way that you are", Rai gave a thumbs up.

"Shut up. Who said I don't feel good about myself? I don't need your peptalk", Sayuri oozed with confidence.

Campus Ground

Sayuri is still upset not being able to yell at anyone at the other house. She's on the mood of murdering someone.

After a while, she bumped on someone since she was planning how to make those brats cry on their knees after hearing all her deadly degradation. "Sorry", she heard a gentle voice. She lifted her head and saw a brown haired wearing a blue polo. He looks decent in her eyes and also quite good looking. She never found someone worthy standing beside her besides this man. Boys in her high school are just like worms and bugs trying to win over flowers. So low.

She ignored his apologies and continued walking.

"What a brat", she heard someone commented and saw an older man next to the brown head.

"Oh, am I? Oji-san (uncle")", she gave a sweet smile. Turns out to be a sarcastic one. Nico was about to retaliate when Haiji just held his arms." I recognize her. She's the landlord's granddaughter", Haiji hummed.

Sayuri saw a large radio being used by the cheerleaders. She seems to grow horns and tails.

Chikuseiso- 8pm

Sayuri made sure that everyone is already at the apartment. She played the radio outside and disturbed everyone. Yuki went out first and followed by Nico.

"Hey, you're disturbing the neighbourhood", Nico commented while watching Sayuri smiling in amusement. Nico knew it. There's something wrong with this lady. She's wearing shorts and also sando. Yuki got nosebleed seeing her for the first time. After a while, the rest of the group went out except the first years and Haiji who is washing the dishes.

"Yeah? As if you were thinking about that when you decided to party last night", Sayuri raised her chin and smirked. They all felt shivers on their spine. "You inconsiderate bastards. Geez, people like you needs to disappear like bubbles", Sayuri crossed her arms. She started to lecture.

Kakeru doesn't know how come he's also on his knees now.

Haiji opened the door to feed Nira. He was startled to see the lads kneeling down in front of Sayuri. Haiji was about to join when Tanizaki slapped the back of her head and grabbed her inside the house.

"She's so intense", Yuki commented. "Let's go and file a case", Nico whined. "I feel like I'm going to be a masochist this time", Yuki smiled so widely. "Scary", Musa and Shindo said in unison.

Morning

Haiji went to get Nira for a walk. He saw Sayuri carrying the trash. "Good morning", Haiji greeted. Sayuri just nodded and went inside again.

Tanizaki pushed Sayuri outside and forced her to greet back. Tanizaki crossed his arms .

"Greetings", Sayuri gave a lousy salute then tried to enter the room. Tanizaki locked the door. "Go jog and clear your mind!",Tanizaki lectured. Sayuri sighed and looked at Haiji.

"You can join us. Nira would like to jog with someone as well", Haiji smiled and the dog barked. That morning, the girl is wearing track suit for some reasons. She wasn't able to bring her pajamas.

Its a good thing that their shoe rack is outside the door. She was able to wear running shoes.

Park

Sayuri pants heavily as they reach the park. Haiji turned to look at her and she pretended to be fine.

Why is he so fast?!

Haiji is still the process of trapping the rest of the boys to run with him. Sayuri covered her mouth and feels like throwing up. No way! It'll be such a shame to throw up with some random person watching her. Nira ran towards her and rubbed his head on her legs.

Tch, go away!

Sayuri lost it and threw up on the bushes. This is bad. Haiji will think she's disgusting.

Haiji was quick to get some water from the vending machine. He patted her back gently.

Get your freaking hands off me!!!!!

Sayuri doesn't have the strength to shoo him away.

"I'm surprised you were able to keep up with me and Nira", Haiji smiled.
