Sasori didn't even notice that his mouth was hanging open until he was literally drooling and his mouth dry.

Deidara walked through the maze of puppet materials. "Excuse the mess, it can get a little messy when making a masterpiece." He chuckled deeply.

Deidara nodded. His ears happened to perk at a certain word. "Did you say a masterpiece? What were you working on?" Deidara asked as he took another glance at the tools on the counter in front of him. Sasori looked over the couch at his expression of genuine interest.

Sasori smirked. "Just puppets. Ya know, wood and screws." Sasori shrugged trying not to sound too cocky. Deidara looked up. "Do you happen to work with clay at all?"

Sasori got up to get his tool box and organize it so his counter looked less like a pig pen. Sasori sat at the stool and ranted about how he USED to work with clay but switched to wood-work when he graduated.

Deidara nodded. "I love clay, it's very moldable and I'm good with it. I'm majoring with it."
Deidara explained once Sasori was done. "Tell me, what's your job?"

Sasori shrugged. "I work at science lab not too far. As good as I am in art, I love science and it had a job opening." Sasori smiled. "You could just call this a hobby."

Deidara nodded. "With college and all, I hardly have time to work on art, considering I'm majoring in it, I sure don't have a lot of time for it." Deidara sighed.

Sasori nodded. "Ah, yes. That happened to me as well." Sasori nodded. "What're you planning to do after college?"

"As of right now, I think I'm gonna move to the city and start up my art program. I had to take a programming class in my senior year of high school and I liked it, so I think I could work well with digital art making and make this my hobby." Deidara laughed.

Sasori was impressed. "That's not half bad, Yanno." He laughed also.

After engaging in small talk for about an hour, Sasori decided he was comfortable enough to show Deidara his collection.

Sasori led him through a long hall. At the end was a big door that appeared to be locked. Sasori got the key from his pocket and as it clicked to life Deidara sucked in a steady breath, not exactly ready for what he saw.

He let out a small gasp at the look of soulless creatures made of wood. Lidded eyes, realistic hair and facial features, they were so life like it was scary. Deidara stood in the doorway with his hands getting dangerously close to Sasori's bicep as though he were scared. Deidara gulped.

He jumped in front of Sasori and almost squealed. "These are kinda cool, Danna!" Deidara giggled as he gestured one that held an uncanny resemblance to Sasori. Sasori smirked. "Yeah, four years will do that to a person." He laughed.

"Man, I would love to work with wood too now.... Maybe I'll take a course in that next semester." Deidara shrugged. "I wonder." Deidara said. Sasori looked at him with curious eyes.

"Why does this one look so much like you? And this one?" Deidara asked as his eyes darted back and fourth between two puppets that were showcased as his best. Sasori casted his eyes downward and took in a deep breath. "They're my parents." Sasori admitted.

Deidara turned around. "Oh that's so nice! You dedicated your puppets to them. Do they know?" Deidara smiled innocently. He didn't get the hint. "Well... I mean, they're gone now, but I would like to think they knew about them." Sasori lied.

Deidara's smile faded. "Sorry," Deidara mumbled.

"It's quite alright. It doesn't bug me anymore. I made them out of loneliness a long time ago. I never even really knew them either, I made them off my imagination mainly and a small picture." Sasori shrugged as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

Deidara nodded and went up to Sasori. He hugged him tightly. "I kinda know what you're talking about." Deidara admitted. "I was born in Japan, but when I was 14 I tried to run away from home because it was kinda horrible their after they found I was... yanno gay. So after a couple of failed attempts they sent me to America to try to 'straighten me out'. I was alone for a long time." Deidara shrugged.

That was sad. Sasori felt pretty bad. "Yeah, it could be a pity party now. Sasori chuckled. Deidara rolled his eyes.

"Is that where you got Danna from?" Sasori asked. "You called me it earlier. What's it mean?"

Deidra blushed. "Well I mean, I just respected you for your art and all..." Deidara mumbled as he twiddled with his fingers.

"But what's it mean?"

"..."

"Hn?"

"Master or Husband..."

"Oh.."

"Yeah, it was just out of respect!" Deidara said flustered. "I got it." Sasori laughed. "Why don't we go out to eat, you're probably hungry and I hope your headache has resided by now. It'll be my treat." Sasori smiled. Deidara nodded.
