(Y/n)'s POV:

I'd been out of the hospital for a total of three hours before I was out trotting with the losers club again. For now, I was awkwardly leaned against Bill as I attempted to catch my breath, I guess sitting around in a hospital bed for a week really did a number on my endurance. I had half a mind to ask Eddie to borrow his inhaler in hopes it might help me, but I brushed aside the thought.

"Here we are, barrens sweet barrens." Richie laughed, throwing his arms wide.

I got an odd feeling in my gut that this might be the last time all of us would come down here together. Maybe Stan, Bill, and Eddie coming to just hide away from new bullies that are sure to arise. Or Ben and Mike building dams or new clubhouses. Maybe even Bev sneaking down her for a smoke. But not everyone together, not like this.

To my left was Stanley, his head wrapped up in bandages where a cute little poof of curls stuck out in the front. His shirt was tucked prestigiously into his shorts and half a smile on his face as he squinted in the bright sun. My heart hurt at the thought of never seeing him again. He was and will always be my best friend, no matter how far our mother takes Richie and I.

Up ahead was Beverly, her short copper hair blowly in the gentle breeze. Her smile seemed to shine almost as brightly as the sun that shimmered up above. There was a scratch on her freckled cheek, but it didn't once take away from her beauty. She will always hold a place in my heart as my first and only real female friend thus far.

Bill held me against him, his hand careful of my side that was still attempting to heal. I could feel his strong, steady heartbeat against my cheek. I wanted to look up at him, but I was sure I'd cry if I did. After all this time of crushing on him in secret, all we got was half of a crummy summer together, and then I'll have to leave.

Richie stood, staring out over the wide expanse of the barrens with his hands on his hips. Eddie stepped up beside him, hooking his broken arm with Richie's and leaving his head on my brother's shoulder. Three years of worrying and hiding only leading up to a week of time together.

Mike had his arm thrown around Ben who was howling with laughter over something Mike had said. I hadn't heard it, but I probably wouldn't laugh if I had. To them, this meeting is a reunion. To me, this is a proper send off for the Toziers.

"Barrens sweet barrens." Bill mumbled, his unusually steady voice a soft vibration against my cheek.

We all sat in a circle, no one really saying anything. Could the others feel it too? A sense of closing? Like we've all just been a chapter in one another's stories and those are all coming to a close?

Eventually I turned and looked at Bev. With everything that happened to me down in the sewers, we had all kind of forgotten the reason we had gone back down there in the first place. We had gone down there to save her, and somehow we had succeeded.

"Bev, what was it like?" I asked, gazing at her.

"You mean when It had me?" She asked, picking at some of the tall grass that was growing around us.

Richie had told me that my eyes had gone white when I was hearing the voices outside of the Neibolt house. He told me that everyone had thought there was something wrong with me and it didn't make sense...at first. When they found Beverly, she was floating in the air and her eyes were all white. That's when they had realized what had happened outside, but they hadn't been able to put a finger on why.

"Yeah. Did you...see anything?" I wanted to know if it was just a trick It played on me, or if maybe that was just a side effect of whatever it was the It did to us.
