Evil Days: Shadows of Goiky (A BFDI fanfic)

Prologue

A empty and morbid atmosphere, crept into Leafy's skin.

In her view, visions of a forest.

A dark and blood red forest.

Pure red.

As is blood in the flesh.

"The virus defies major factors of being a natural pathogen."

"It does no direct harm to us, but appears to act as an 'anchor' for the creation of a 'evil twin'."

"It has been confirmed that 100% of object kind is afflicted with this virus."

"It lies dormant."

"They lie dormant."

"They may come to us in our shadows."

"Grow with us as our birth twins."

"Or live inside of us, waiting to take over."

"Either way, they're all against us."

"GH-"

Leafy jumped from her bed.. in cold sweat as she panted a bit.

That same, damned dream.

And she and the others hadn't visited the Evil Forest in years, let alone, bothered to think about it.

"Hmmf.." The young leaf rubbed her weary face, grumpily standing up to pace around a bit in her bedroom.

Living alone wasn't hard for her, even as she was so social in those days of game shows and alliances, Leafy was naturally geared towards being a lone wolf in more personal life.

But, an itching phenomena just kept bugging her these past few weeks.

From time to time, Leafy would get bizarre dreams, of pure, sanguine red. 

Spectral patrols of the Evil Forest, as she would from time to time see silhouettes of what looked exactly like the people she knew, but with a dark, grisly aura to them.

Sometimes she'd just be hanging out with her friends and team, doing her personal business and domestic chores, and no matter what, this uneasy vibe would keep poking at her mind.

Almost like, something was missing.

Off.

Imminent.
