Over the couple of weeks that passed, a routine had been built for Riddick relatively quickly. He'd wake up, feed himself and the woman bound to the wall, let her off if it was needed. Then he would spend the rest of the day trying to find something to busy himself with. Repeat the second step twice a day, and the third every couple of hours, then end the day by locking himself in the captain's room and falling asleep. It was all an interesting, and unusual change for a man who thrived off of unpredictability. It was peaceful to say the least, but he knew he couldn't get used to. It wouldn't be long before it all came to an end and his normal began. Peace never lasted.

The captain didn't seem to mind the routine, even if it was a bit unorthodox. She never showed any sign that it unsettled her as much as it did him. Mostly since she just found it nice to finally have another person on board with her again. Despite the fact she was technically said person's prisoner, in the end, she had someone to talk with. That was enough for her. Even if she only got a chance to let out her thoughts for a few minutes everyday. More often than not, the conversation was one sided with her being the one to do most of the talking. Itiri learned rather quickly that Riddick wasn't as big of a talker as her.

When this little situation started, Riddick hadn't bothered to entertain her tangents at all. There was no real reason for him to since he simply didn't care. Instead, he chose to retreat back into the kitchen or the control room to spend his time or eat his meals once he had given her hers. However, how close he was to the pilot had little to do with whether or not she would try to talk. The nearly empty ship, combined with Riddick's above average hearing, gave him little room to run from her voice. If he didn't sit with her, she would simply just talk anyway. Her voice carried across the spacecraft with ease, finding the convict in any room he chose to sit in. Sometimes he wondered if she had been talking to herself.

It was only a few days into their trip that Riddick realized how little there was on the ship. Mostly how limited his options for entertainment were. There wasn't much to keep him occupied when he wasn't sleeping or looking after the captive. No Crylockers (strangely enough), and no training room of any sort that he could use. She only had a couple of dumbbells a few pounds too light for him that had been tucked in the corner of her room. Ofcourse, there was Itiri's array of books in her room, but none of them caught his interest enough for him to pick one up. Riddick wasn't one for fairytales, and that was all she had. It wasn't until he had taken all that into consideration, that he finally decided to sit with her a few times a day. Even if he was only half-heartedly paying attention to her rambles, it did well to remedy his growing boredom.

Around mealtime, like always, Riddick entered into the common room of the ship. Two metal plates were held in each hand, both with a decent amount of food on them. He stepped to Itiri, passing her one of the plates, before going to sit in his usual flimsy chair a few feet away.

"Thank you," Itiri adjusted herself a little before placing the plate in her lap. Riddick gave his usual sound of acknowledgment in response.

The two remained silent for a good while as they focused on eating. Surprisingly, it hadn't been Itiri who broke the evergrowing silence between them. "We're running low on food," Riddick stated blandly after Itiri had taken another bite from her small portion of vegetables. The ship's supply had been low anyway, with barely enough to cover one person for the journey let alone two. Even with rationing it, their supply was going down quickly. "There any emergency rations on board?"

Itiri took her time chewing and swallowing before she answered. "Yes, down in the storage loft."

Riddick's eyes gravitated from his plate to her, head tilting ever so slightly. "Which is located where?" He knew where the cargo hold was, but was unsure if the storage loft was in the same area.
