Calli had been chained down in a prison cell for the night. She had been told by the guards the next morning that her execution was going to be exceptionally painful. This was because the execution weapon of choice was the spiked punishment collar (above), which would slowly kill her by infection from the wound she would earn from such a thing. They were also planning a little "surprise" for her before she was executed. What it would be she did not know.

Then, around 12:00, she was brought out for her execution. Everyone who had gathered was either for her or against her. A third watched on in horror, another watched for entertainment, and the rest couldn't bear to watch and looked away sadly as the collar was strapped around her neck. Calli felt pure agony, and opened her mouth to scream, but the guards proceeded to shut her mouth and bind it.

'Seems like they chose now to spring their little surprise on me...'

One of the guards approached her from the front whilst the rest held her bindings together, restricting any movement from her jaw down. The approaching guard took out a needle and black thread and proceeded to sew her mouth shut entirely, even sewing in a permanent smile. Lucky for Calli, the guard wanted her to be able to say proper last words, so he loosened the seams around her main mouth area enough for her to move her mouth as much as she wanted. Unfortunately, he tied it in an unremovable knot.

The pain was almost unbearable, but she kept her screams to herself. She didn't want to seem weak in her final moments of living in public.

After about 10 minutes, the guards removed the collar, not bothering to stop the bleeding or even clean the collar, and locked Calli back up. They were sure she would die soon, so they didn't bother chaining her down.

The guards soon left to play poker.

Calli Sat there, in a darkened prison cell, pain filling every cell of her body.

'Heh. What a horrible pun... author, what were you even thinking?' (Hey! No fourth wall breaks allowed! Don't you remember!?) 'Yeah yeah, yada yada I got it, can we please move on now?' (Fine.)

After a while of just sitting, Calli could hear soft crying next door...

A/N

Okay, so I got tired and had to rush... please no judging me. I know there wasn't much talking but when I get tired, I run out of ideas. You all get it, right? Anywho, it's 3:57 am right now. Happy reading my little dragons! :)
