Every night in my dreams, I would stare at a glass marble with question about tomorrow. What will happen? Will I live to see another night? Will I finally get respect or even, get some love from my parents? Every night the shining Jade green marble would shimmer and shine with all my questions, and tonight was no exception.
"Benjamin!" a loud feminine voice yelled, waking me up.
"Wake up. You're going to be late, and no future lawyer son of mine is going to be late on the first day of school." I was trying to pay attention, but my mom knows that I'm blind and can't see her. "Ugh, fine mom." I said grabbing my glasses.
"You know Benjamin, you should really start wearing contacts."
"Mom, you know that I can't wear contacts because of my sensitive eyes. " I said pulling my long blond hair back.
"Sigh. Hurry up. Oh and promise me you'll get a haircut. You can't always wear a hat."
"Yeah, sure." I said sarcastically as she left.
"If only my hair didn't have nerves in it." I thought as I pulled my ponytail up in my beanie.
"Benjamin B,you're already 19, and going off to college, great." I said to myself as I went down stairs to the car. a few hours passed until I arrived at the school.
"Old Oak wood college. Est 1970" was on a plaque outside of the building. On the campus were two massive fountains spewing out crystal clear water. Oak trees surrounding the area as far as the eye could see. And that smell, oh that smell it was...great.
"Smells nice." I said entering the school. Inside was what you would expect, idiots everywhere. I thought walking through the hallway.
"I know right." a soft cute voice said. I stopped walking to find out where that sweet sweet voice had came from and standing across from me was the source. I don't know what it was, but something about that girl was special. Maybe it was her shining sapphire blue eyes, or her long blond hair that was carefully pulled back into a ponytail,or her milky white smile,or even her sweet sweet laughter. Either way, she was special I could tell. But there was one flaw, she had friends, lots of them. She was the dean's daughter and the richest and most popular girl on campus. She is kind, and sweet, and happy, and smart. And I, am a gun touting, anger having, genus, rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.
"Who am I kidding? A girl like her will never end up with a guy like me." I thought to myself as I walked to the first class.
"Alright class, lets get started." Said the teacher. I was so bored watching her talk. I know that I was going to ace this class.
"Umm, excuse me? Am I in the right class?" Asked my sweet new crush. I was surprised to see her.
"And who might you be?" asked the teacher. "I'm Jane Livington. The Dean's daughter." Oh right sorry Miss Livington." "You can sit anywhere you want." said the teacher. And immediately after she said that, every boy was making a free seat. I know that she would not sit with me.
"Is this seat taken?" And just my luck, standing right infront of me was Jane. "Oh, uh, sure." I said trying to keep my cool. Jane smiled, sitting down really really close to me. I had to calm my heart down.
" I'm Jane. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?" asked Jane. "Oh, I'm Benjamin B.St buttons. IQ 590." I said trying to hide my nervousness. "hehe. 590? Oh wow, I'm glad I got to sit next to the hot genus in the class." "My IQ is only 190." Jane said leaning on my arm. "Heh, yeah, and I'm glad that I got to sit next to the pretty girl in the class." I said with a smile." Can I see you glasses?" Jane asked. Before I could answer, Jane grabbed my glasses, cutting off my vision. "Oh wow, sterling silver. I thought that these were only a legend, where did you get these?" "Oh, well, I bought them with the money that I made, firing guns and making guns, hacking into government sites, and training with the best fighters." I said while trying not to glare at her. "You had to buy these yourself? But the St.buttons are the richest family in the world, surely, your parents gave you some money." said Jane. "If you knew my parents, you would know that they never really cared for me." "Umm, I don't mean to be rude, but I am having trouble seeing, so can I have my glasses back?" Jane realized that she still had them a put them back on my face. "Oh well I'm sorry about your parents. But, hey at least you're cute." "So, do you really know how to fire a gun?" Jane asked trying not to blush. "Yes, I know how, why?" "Well, because I always wanted to learn how to fire a gun." Jane said playing with her hair. "Well, I would be happy to teach you. But you would have to be careful, you might become a killer with your beauty, and brains, and the fact that you know how to fire a weapon." I said staring at her so that her Sapphire eyes would meet with my grass green eyes. "You're sweet." Hey, um this might sound weird, but can I touch your hair?" Jane asked with a smile."Umm, I'm sorry but no. I have a rare hair disease were my hair has nerves in it and it hurts when people touch it." I said looking down at my desk. Jane put her hand on my shoulder, with a gentle smile on her face. "Please, I promose I'll be gental. " I gave in and lifted part of my beanie for her. Jane reached for part of my hair and slowly began petting it. For the first time ever, it didn't hurt. "Wow, its soft, like a kitten, but you can feel a vibration, like a heartbeat." That is so cool. And I love how your green hat matches the school uniforms." Jane said, slowly moving her hand down, smiling. Before I could say anything, the bell rang. Jane got up and as I was getting up,she linked her arm with my arm."I noticed that we have the same classes, so would you like to walk me to our next class?" Jane asked with her arm around my arm.I nodded, and we both started to head down to our next class. Late that night, the jade marble in my dreams was shining brighter than before and was in the pink hands of the silhouette of my beloved Jane. For once, I was happy.
