Would you mind

I woke up and got ready for another day of school. It was the last homecoming for seniors today and I was very happy.
I slipped on my senior overalls that our coach made for us. I put on one of my school shirts on underneath and curled my hair where the ends where perfectly done.
I looked in the mirror happy with my look and grabbed my bag while saying goodbye to my little sister and my baby brother. I say bye to my parents and get into the car.
Today it was a half day so I only had 4 periods then I was going to be on the football float for cheer then I am cheering at the game.
I got a text from my bestfriends and it said everything about tonight. Apparently they invited me to a party and I was being forced to go.
I arrived at the school and grabbed my stuff while locking my car and walking to the school doors. I go to my first period and sit next to Zion and Brandon.
"Hey girl" Edwin says walking over and taking a seat next to Brandon. "Hey Ed" I say grabbing my phone out.
We finished up all 4 classes and I went to Zions house to get ready. I had all my stuff in the car so I just drove over there after school with him. We jammed out and sang all the words to the songs as we pulled out of the school to his house. I parked and we went to his room where I plugged in my curler and put my cheer uniform on. Zion put his football uniform on and layed on the bed.
Zion, he's been my bestfriend since I moved here in 5 grade. He's always so caring and nice, plus he's so funny and just a amazing person in general.
He's been trying to make some moves lately but, I just don't know if I'm ready for a relationship with him.
Who knows when it will happen, I just know that I do want it, I'm just not sure when.
I finished my hair and my makeup. I looked over at Zion to catch him staring. "Zion!" I say trying to catch his drooling. "Oh hi-" he says but cuts himself off. "You look beautiful" he says making me blush. "Ok well you don't look too bad yourself." I say my face turning red. He gets up and sets his phone down. I looked in the mirror to see if I looked as good as he said. I soon felt arms wrap around my waist and a head lay on my shoulder. "What's all this for" I ask him. "Nothinnn" he says stretching Out the N. "Ok well we have 30 minutes till we have to be there, so we need to leave" I say.
We get in the car and get everything ready since we have to go straight to the game after.
We get to the parade and jump onto the football and cheerleaders float.
If you didnt know this already, I'm the captain of the cheer squad and zions the quarterback and captain of the football team.
I sit by Zion, Brandon, Nick, Edwin, and Austin on the float thing while we throw out candy to everyone. He get slowly pulled into a lap. I look back and see I'm on zions lap with his arms squeezed around my waist. I smile at the feeling and keep throwing candy.
The parade ends and me and Zion go straight to the game. I start setting up all the cheer stuff with the coach and the girls start arriving and the football boys start warming up.
We start doing cheers when the game starts and I was doing pretty good. We did our pyramids and tumbling and all of our cheers.
When we had our 3 break I saw my sister with my little brother walking towards the end of the bleachers to see me. I smiled and grabbed my brother from her and holding him. We talked for a bit till our break was over. I handed him back and went back to cheering. I practically screamed everytime one of the boys made a touchdown or scored a point. I'm just a supportive friend.
The game ended and Zion and the boys came over. They where drenched in sweat but atleast they won the game. Zion picked me up making me wrap my legs around his as he hugged me. I laughed at is goofy Ed's and we went to the car. I went back to my house to get ready for the party. I wore a regular party outfit (top lol), I curled the ends of my hair and just skipped on the makeup bc I know Zion would make me take it off bc "I don't need makeup". I swear that boy.
I get a text from the boys saying they're here and I walk down the stairs saying bye to all my siblings and go outside to see the boys blasting music in the car and yelling at me. I laugh and shake my head while getting in the car.
We pull up to the party and I can feel underneath my feet the loud music and i can see the lights flashing.
We walk in all together and separate our ways. I find some teammates that came and hang with them for a bit on the dance floor. I danced and danced till I saw Zion walk up to me. "Would you mind?" He asks. "Would I mind what?" "If I pulled you closer, would you mind?" He asks. I shake my head no while smiling. He starts to dance with me as then I dance with him. He pulls me closer as he says to where our skin touches. We both look into each other's eyes while our lips became inches apart. I was too scared so I pulled it into a hug. "Your the best Zion" I say. "Oh thanks" he says.
We keep on with The night dancing like crazy. Maybe some grinding went on.. who knows?
The party ended and half the boys where wasted so I drove them all back to my place and they spent the night.
I sat on my bed, in Zions lap laying back into his chest as he plays fortnite on my X-Box. I smile at his anger and how he makes jokes as he plays. The boys sat around my room eating food and on their phones.
I get up to go to the bathroom.
Once I close the door I sit on the counter and think of everything that's happened.
I don't think I caught feelings for Zion, but if I have, I'm not really the 'Love Type'. He isn't anything like my ex but I mean... I could get used to him.
All of the sudden I hear the door open. I look over to see Brandon. "What in the world are you doing?" He asks. "Can I vent?" I say. He nodded his head yes.
I told him everything and what I just thought and he was surprised. "Ok well, I think it's clear he likes you. So why don't y'all just date?" He asks. "I want him to ask me" I say. "I can make that happen. But come on let's go have some fun!" He says. I laugh and hop off the counter. I go back to my position with Zion.
He finished his game and turned the X-Box off while turning on a movie. The boys got in the spots they always sleep in when they come over and Zion usually sleeps with me. He looks down at me. "Would you mind?" He asks. "Why do you keep asking me this. Would I mind what?" I say. "If I did this" he says while getting on top of me and kissing me. It was a soft and meaningful kiss. I could hear the boys clapping and cheering which made me smile into the kiss.
I think I can finally say it.
I wouldn't mind at all.
