I looked out of the car window with sweat dripping from my face. Car rides are never nice to me when it is sunny. I looked over at the radar, even more sun was coming through. I yawned and put on my glasses, “Dad, how much longer?” I asked as he kept driving.

“You’ll be at your new house soon; mom will be meeting us there in an hour.” My dad sighed, “She had to fly in early to set up at the hospital.”

“Okay, sounds good,” I said as my little brother threw a marker at me, “Please stops Will.” I advised the little devil.

My brother chuckled, “Ha ha,” I could have a lot less things to worry about. A new school was easy to fit into, but high school? It was going to be a long year.

“Kori! Wake up!” My brother said screaming in my face. I shoved his face away and stood up looking at our new house. It was ginormous. “Is grandma home?” asked Will.

“She should be.” Responded my dad, I went to the car trunk and pulled out my suitcase. I rolled up the suitcase to the door steps.

“Korilyn! You look wonderful sweetie! Where’s your father?” hugged my grandmother.

“Right here!” said my dad pulling the car into the garage. My dad jumped out of the car and greeted my grandmother, “How are you Louise?”

“I’m great and getting better, how are you doing Will?” asked my grandma talking to Will.

“I got a new truck!” he said as he pulled it out of his suitcase. My grandma signaled us to come in and put our bags down. I knew where my new room was so I ran upstairs.

I walked into the room and set my suitcase in the closet. I found something that caught my eye. There was a window exactly the same height and placement across my window.

I looked into the window and saw a boy. He was looking at me and showing a little girl the sight. The words, new neighbors came out of his mouth. It was cute, an older brother showing a little sister the neighbors. The boy looked my age. He finally brought his sister away from the window and went back into his room.

I closed my blinds and started unpacking. When I finished a laid on my newly maid bed and realized everything was going to be different here.
