Eliza walked with her boyfriend, Alexander, through their little town. Not much was said, as they had a very tight schedule. This was the one time both agreed to just stay silent and relax while taking in the scenery and getting exercise.
Suddenly though, Eliza spoke up. "Huh, that building wasn't there before. I wonder what they're builing." she thought aloud.
Alex merely nodded, noticing what Eliza had pointed out. Their walk continued as normal, as did the rest of their week.
But, a week or so later, they saw what the construction had produced.
Eliza gasped when she saw it, interrupting the walk once again. "Alex! It's a pet store!" she whisper yelled. "Can we go in?"
Alex shrugged, and then Eliza dragged him in.
Eliza gasped once again when the entered, in awe, and exciting. It was a large pet store, full with pets even though it had only previously opened.
The young woman immediately dashed around, squealing and "awwwww"-ing at any pet she saw.
"Aww, Alex, it's a turtle!" she pointed out, poking the glass.
"Yes Eliza, it is a turtle. I'm surprised you knew." Alex smiled.
Eliza playfully hit him on the arm. "Shut it, you." Then she ran away, tugging Alex with her as she had been, when she saw a big sign in bold letters, saying, "CATS". Eliza smiled widely. "Aww, they have the cutest kittens~!" She turned to her boyfriend. "Alex, we h a v e to get one!" She said, staring into his eyes with puppy-dog eyes.
Alex drew in a sharp breath. "Are you responsible?"
Eliza nodded rapidly, continuing her begging look.
"Okay, fine." Alex gave in, fishing his wallet out from his pocket and handing it to her.
Eliza gasped in delight. "Yay! Thank you so much!" And then ran to pick out a kitten.

The now family of 3 walked back to their home, Eliza holding the kitten.
"I love you so much." she smiled.
"And I love you too." Alex said.
"Not you, silly. I was talking to Cinnamon!" Eliza giggled, pointing to the orange kitten she held.
Alex rolled his eyes, then pouted. "Aww, I feel insulted. Also, who let you pick out the name?" He asked, smiling again.
Eliza hesitated, then answered. "Me. And you agreed because you love me." She smirked.
Alex sighed. "Alas, you've caught me, I do." He hung his head.
Eliza smiled at that. "I love you too! And this time I'm talking to you." she giggled.
Alex jokingly sighed in relief. "Oh, thank goodness! I thought you didn't!"
Eliza gasped now. "Hiw could you! Look, we need nore communication in this relationship." She said, mocking her father's voice.
The two giggled together, then kissed, despite the objectional mew from Cinnamon.
