Waking up with a pounding headache, wait, no, just waking up and knowing that today is Monday and school starts in an hour (so...basically a headache), Tyler slowly and painfully got up from his warm and loving covers.
Trudging slowly to the bathroom that is connected to his room he "quickly" took a thirty minute shower, dried off and stared blankly at himself in the mirror while muttering to himself nothing of importance, before heading back out to his dresser to put on a black and white striped t-shirt and ripped black pants. This was just about the everyday start to Tyler's mornings.
Making his way down stairs he grabbed an applesauce from the fridge and headed out the door. The school was walking distance from the small town house where Tyler lived alone for going on four years now. His parents took off one day leaving him behind, and that was the end of it. Tyler felt nothing towards them or to anything for that matter. He was only trying to get through life with no real plans for anything else in the future.
Pouring the applesauce from the small container and into his mouth, he had finally made it to school after about fifteen minutes of dragging his feet, and headed to room 103, his classroom.
Tyler sat in seat alone in the classroom for awhile before people started to pile in. All of them never even paid Tyler any piece of mind, since to them, he was only just wasted space. He never really talked, he just sat there and would silently do his class work while listening to his music, and then he would go home. That was his day everyday.
Tyler is good student in class and always gets his work done and keeps decent enough grades. Maybe an A or two, mainly Bs, and possibly a C. For a matter of fact though, Tyler is actually quite smart. It is just a matter of if he actually feels like doing well on the work load that day or maybe week, but whatever. He takes what he gets without a care.
Hearing the loud ricochet of heels upon the tiled school hallway, everyone took their time getting to their seats as the teacher then walked in with an ugly happy smile on her face. Like what the hell is she so happy about on a Monday fucking morning? Does she actually enjoy this job that much or is she just so great at faking it? Whatever it is, it annoys Tyler a great deal.
"Good morning everybody! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I surely did. Anyways, today we have a new student joining us," the teacher started as she directed our attention to the doorway, revealing a fair skinned girl with shoulder length, straight brunette hair who kept her eyes castes to the floor as she entered the room, finally looking up to face all of us as the teacher announced her by name.
"This is Ms. Naomi Eve. She will be joining this class from today onward, so give her your best welcoming. Oh, and Naomi, why don't you sit over there in the seat behind Tyler." The teacher pointed out to the timid young girl as she seemed to dash to her seat to avoid being the center of attention any longer, and Tyler didn't blame her.The day continued on like it normally would for Tyler, except for the fact that everyone was extra irritating today. It didn't help that there was a new girl in the class and that everyone is so eager to speak to her, but it really doesn't help when the new girl sits right behind you either. Having to listen to all the questions such as, "where did you come from?" "Do you have any siblings?" "What brought you here?" "How is your first day going so far?"
Tyler could easily tell you every answer he could speak, "I'm from one town on over." "No, I'm an only child." "My dad got a better job offer over here." Surprisingly so, Tyler was able to pick up on all these facts despite not ever giving a care to his surroundings, but he decided to ignore the uncomfortable feeling of his slightly racing heart and the heat that threatened to rise upon his cheeks the moment Naomi first walked in. He probably caught some disease this girl dragged in from her dumpy home, just like the rest of his classmates. He didn't know any of them all that well, but it didn't matter because they were all trash anyways.
The day still continued on and on until the bell finally rang at three fifteen and everybody raced to grab their things and go, leaving only Tyler and Naomi alone in the classroom.
With a heavy sigh, Tyler slowly stood from his seat with his phone in hand and earbuds in the other, getting ready to slowly lift them to his ears when he quickly took a quick peek at the girl who sits behind him. He could feel the heat rise once again to his cheeks as he turned away and began slightly stomping his way out the classroom.
"What the hell is this fucking feeling?"
