Her dad was diagnosed with diabetes just a few years ago, and a couple of months earlier he had a stroke, so he couldn't do much at all. When her mom and she reached the car she opened the passenger side, gave her dad a hug and a kiss and watched them drive off. She waved goodbye. A part of her was sad and had already missed her parents, but she knew going to college was a good thing and she was proud of herself for making it this far.
