(Authors note: This next chapter is in Lefty's POV)
I booted up, it was dark, cold, but not lonely. In front of me was another robot, a nearly destroyed robot with a rusted bear mask. It's glowing eyes looking back at me. The eyes were just.. beautiful in a way. They practically hypnotized me, it was so strange. Their wires wet and glistening also distracted me from any real thought. I didn't notice the other two until who knows how long later, I don't like one but the other is okay looking.
A few days of sitting here and nothing has happened. Nothing except rains and rats. This boredom.. I can't stand it.
Another week has gone by. The bear animatronics arm nearly fell off due to a rat. I moved for the first time in nearly two weeks to shoo it. I didn't want to move but the need to keep the bear intact was stronger. When I moved back to my original position the robot looked up and said "Thank you" Safe to say I was startled, I lept back some. I banged my back into a trashcan, the sound was loud and startled the other two. It caused them to turn their heads to the sudden noise, startling me even more. The bear stood up on their legs saying "Are you ok?" While one hand was reached out and one close to their mouth, probably as a sign of suprise and dread. I gripped their hand to help me stand up "Well that was.. uhm..." I muttered. The other robot looked back at me some what confused.
"I'm Freddy, it's nice to- well.. It's nice to finally introduce myself to you!" He said in a oddly joyful tone. "I'm Lefty, it's nice to introduce myself to you too" I replied. "Again thank you for fending off that rat a moment ago" Freddy said to me in a less joyous manner and a quieter voice. His voice was very nice, for a broken machine. "It's really no problem, I just didn't want you to be hurt or anything" I said "Speaking of hurt, my back feels pretty bad from that trashcan, might sit down for a little longer.." I followed up with. "Here, sit where I was, it's next to a vent so it's kinda warmer then where you've been" He said to me softly. "I- Thank you!" I said then hugging him out of instinct. He was very much surprised, I felt him jump a little, but he soon melted into the hug. I pulled him down next to me in the seat and we sat together.
I think this is the beginning of a great friendship.
