Thanksgiving a lot has happened in the past month and we have a lot to be thankful for Abbigail and I have been through a lot in the past month deal with that bastard Roger but now that he is behind bars and far from us we can both enjoy our live like normal.
I look down at the small velvet box in my hand I have been thinking about this ever since I got home I was in a terrible trauma I could have lost my life so could Abbigail. I know that she is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with and I love her more than I can explain.
I look up at her as she talks we are having thanksgiving dinner at my dad's house Abbigail and her mother planned our entire vacation they both asked us to take off work. Abbigail has been really happy these last few weeks and I like that now that I think on it we have all been very happy.
"Sorry I'm late darlin'" Mr. Belfort says walking in.
"Johnny where in heavens name have you been?" His wife scolds and he blush.
"Sorry darlin I was just picking something up" he looks at Abbigail and she widens her eyes before looking at me.
I don't know why but I have a feeling that they are up to something she and her parents have been acting really weird lately and that's saying something seeing as they are very normal people.
"Okay now that we are all here let's eat some of us are starving" Abbigail leads us all into the dining room.
We all take our seats I ended up sitting next to her I look down at the table it's been years since we had a family sit down like this not since my mom passed we have always just gone out or worked. I look over at Abbigail as she talks with my grandmother they are all really taken with her.
"So, what are we doing for Christmas do I need to clear my calendar?" Erica asks looking at me.
"Well..." I look at Abbigail.
"We are going to Montana for Christmas and you guys are all invited" she says and they all gasp.
I lean over kissing her cheek my grandparents started planning their trips and what they were going to wear dinner gets on the way and we were all having fun. I know that there is no perfect time to do this but being here with all my family I couldn't think of a better time.
"Marry me" I say causing the noise at the table to end.
"What?" they all ask as one.
I pulled my chair back getting up I take Abbigail's hand and she stands looking at me with stunned eyes I get down on one knee and they all gasp.
"I love you and I can't bare to live without you my whole days gets brighter when I see you smile and my heart melts just looking into your perfect green eyes. I never imagined that when I met you in the club that things would lead here but I knew that you meant for me so here I am heart in hand asking you to marry me" I say opening the box showing her the ring and she nods. "Come on baby you have to say it" I tell her, and she laughs wiping her eyes.
