paige x reader pt 1

paige. you knew exactly what her name stood for.

i- intelligent
g- great
e- exciting
she was perfect. you loved her. but you never knew, did she love you back? you doubted she did. heck, she didn't even know you. you didn't have any chance of speaking to her either, you were too shy to go up to her. she was always crowded by dumb jocks trying to ask her out anyways.
you did have one idea, though.
tony. your best friend, and paige's ex. paige and tony were still great friends, they just weren't right for each other romantically. 'i could ask him for advice!' you thought.
you waited for homegroup after first period to talk to him, since you both shared a home room teacher.
"heyo, tones." you said. "hm? oh, hey (y/n). whatcha need?" he replied. "woah woah woah, how'd you know i need something? that's spooky." you giggled. tony smirked and said "because i can tell the future. nah, just kidding. but anyways, what is it you need?"
your giggle faded. "well... it's paige." you said. "oh? what about her?" tony asked. you took a deep breath. "i... i.. well... i like her. as in have a crush on her..." you said and looked away. tony was taken aback at first, but his expression soon turned into a smile. "i knew it." he smirked. "h-hey! it wasn't that obvious." you pouted. "cmon, i see the way you look at her. it is too obvious." tony replied as he booped your nose, to which you bit his finger. "ow!" he said angrily as he gripped his finger in pain. "hmph!" you pouted as you stuck your tongue out at him. you stared at each other for 2 seconds and bursted out into laughter. once your guys' laughter died down, tony said, "well.. i do have some good news for you. paige did tell me she was bi." it felt like a tiny weight had been lifted off you chest when he said that. "r-really? she is?" you asked. "yeah, why else would i be telling you?" he said. "well, if you'd like, i could try pull a few strings. you can call me, "tones the matchmaker". i've started quite a few relationships, hmhm." it was true, he was quite the cupid. "well, i mean i don't want to make her be in a relationship with me if she doesn't want to.." you said. "well, she hasn't dated anyone since we broke up," he added, "and she did say she wanted to try see what it'd be like to be with a girl. listen. i'll give you some tips on things she likes and doesn't like." you sighed in defeat. "alright, fine." "well, first off, she HATES green. i learned that the hard way. she's also terrified of clowns." well, that good. you didn't like green either. (a/n: super sorry if you like green, just err pretend you don't for this?) clowns also scared you to death. "she loves drawing and poetry, too. she may not have the best jokes, but she tries and it's cute. she also loves bad puns." you did a mini victory dance  in your head because you were the god of bad puns. "well, that's really all to know about her." tony said. your heads perked up when you heard the teacher said "ok, you can go." second period, art. you had this class with paige. oh, and tony too. you and tony had seats next to each other, while paige sat on the other side of the room. the art teacher began to speak. "something something, partner project, assigned parters, something something." you ignored half of it. except assigned partners. for the love of god, why? you ignored everything until she said "(y/n), your partner is paige, please take a seat next to her." tony looked at you and smirked. "you go slay, queen." he said with a wink. you rolled your eyes at him and awkwardly took a seat next to paige. "oh, hi! so you're (y/n)?" paige said. "h-huh? o-oh, yeah." you replied awkwardly. "tony has told me a lot about you! you seem really sweet!" she said as she smiled. you felt your cheeks heat up. "oh, well that's nice." you said and giggled. you heard the art teacher then say, "colin, please take a seat next to tony." followed by paige laughing hysterically. "huh?" you said. "oh, my bad," paige said through laughter. "i guess tony hasn't told you. well, he has a huge crush on colin." you looked over where tony is and saw him blushing furiously while colin sat next to him. 'karma is a biotch.' you said in your head and smiled to yourself. the art teacher read off a few more pairings until she told you to get to work and everyone started getting materials. "wait, what is this about? sorry, i want paying any attention." you said, embarrassed. "oh, we have to make paper flower crowns for our partner! it seems really cute, i really like the idea!"
