Why does he keep looking at me?
It was like he was literally trying to see right into my very soul with those piercing crystal blue eyes of his. I know that it seemed very unlikely that it was even me he was looking at, but how can I be mistaken when he looks over multiple times throughout the show with a silly smirk etched on his face. A hot smirk. A douche's smirk. I'll admit that I'd always thought he was very attractive, there was no doubt that it was true- but it was so much better in person. As I was standing at the barrier I could see all of his god-like features in clear detail. He finally seemed real. He finally seemed human.
'You don't love a God, you love your comfort! To you we are filth, we are dirty, so be it. We are dirty and unclean, a congregation of the unseen.'
His eyes scanned the crowd slowly...
'Together we will set this world on fire.'
...until finally locking on to mine once more.
'This is the new religion,'
He bent down and held himself up with his fingertips, his eyes never once leaving mine.
'Amen.'
Then he was gone, and the lights were back on, showing the pools of sweat, water and alcohol on the floor, plastic cups that had been passed around and a couple of hundred sweaty teenagers shuffling out the door, showing me that the concert was well and truly over. Andy had already ran off stage with the band once I looked away, which to be honest left me feeling slightly empty.
"You're not going anywhere." Two huge security guards suddenly appaeared behind me and Annabelle who quite frankly, I'd completely forgotten was there. Tired, hot and confused, we let the men lead us backstage towards the door reading 'Black Veil Brides'.
Oh fuck.
Belle sqealed next to me, finally back to reality. I just knitted my eyebrows together, not sure why were there. Obviously we were about to meet the band but why us?
One of the guards knocked on the door, waited for the knob to jiggle, signalling that someone was about to open it and slowly walked away. Weird. The door flew open revealing a very hot and bothered looking Ashley Purdy. Shirtless Ashley Purdy. He leaned against the doorframe and slowly looked us up and down, making me squirm a little. He gave us a lopsided grin and finally spoke- just not to us.
"Hey Andy your delivery's here." His what?
Once he'd finally moved out of the way i could actually see into the room. Jinxx and Jake were sat on the floor with their backs against the wall fanning themselves with magazines. CC was lying upside down on a loveseat trying to get the knots out of his hair and singing softly to himself. Then there was Andy, who just stood at the back of the room, staring at us. Or rather staring at me, since Belle was suddenly no longer by my side, and was instead over at the far side of the room with Ashley giggling and twirling her hair around her finger. I rolled my eyes at their obvious flirting.
Then I realised that I was still stood by myself just outside of the door rolling my eyes like a loon, and i felt heat rising to my cheeks.
"You gonna come in or?..." Jake spoke up, looking confused as hell. Great, that just made my cheeks feel like they could just melt off at any minute. My eyes widened slightly and I shuffled quickly into the room before stopping again and standing a couple metres away from them. From the corner of my eye I could still see Andy staring at me so I tried to look anywhere else in the room but at him. Eventually, he stood up from leaning against a dressing table and cleared his throat.
"You enjoy the show?"
I finally turned my head to look at him.
"The music was great." I said bluntly, before averting my eyes once again.
"Yeah? You're a fan of us then?"
"I'm a fan of your music. And maybe CC a little bit too." I admitted, secretly enjoying the slight disappointment that fell upon his face.
"Well what about me then? Not a fan of lead singers?" I could tell he was trying to joke around a little, to avoid his ego from being trod on anymore.
"Oh no I'm a fan of lead singers in general, just not you."
The room fell silent, and Andy looked shocked to say the least. I bit my lip and looked down at my shoes, uncomfortable with the attention. After about a minute of the awkward silence, Andy was the first to speak.
"What's your name?"
This was my chance. I snapped my head up and make direct eye contact, squinting them a little.
"Fuck I'm Britt sugar tits." My turn to smirk. His face was priceless. The realisation seemed to physically hit him and he rocked back slightly on the heels of his feet.
"The Twitter girl?" He all but whispered, nervously running his hand through his hair. I nodded and sighed, placing my right hand on my hip and bring my left arm over to hold it there.
"Britany Locks at your service." I said in a mock seductive voice, a smug smile plastered across my face. My confidence was obviously coming back to me.
I decided I'd had enough fun and announced I was leaving and that it was nice to meet them all, grabbing Belle's wrist and pulling her out with me. I completely ignored Andy's shouts as I continued down the corridor.
"Wow." Annabelle whispered, clearly flustered about what had just happened.
"You really should have spoke to him, not me. You know I can't stand him." I sighed, letting go of her wrist.
"Uh uh I'm all about that bass." She winked just as we got into her car.
Well that was an eventful day.
