Chapter 11: TV...Grr
“What is it?” Birgitta wondered, as Prodigy turned on the TV and switched the channel to ‘What’s new TV’.
“Welcome back” Luisa-Jane Grey smiled, as she and Charlie Brisham stood in the centre of the screen “Latest news, from Gossip magazine: ‘Has MB finally found their 1# girls?’” she read as many headlines and pictures of us at the beach appeared on the screen.
“No-one knows who these girls are, but, somehow we’re going to find out!” Charlie continued; my phone suddenly vibrating in my pocket; it was Becky.
(Phone convo):
“Hey” I said
“Hey bubz…are you watching ‘What’s new tv’?” Becky wondered
“Yeah”
“I feel so sorry for you…I mean, everyone probably hates you now. What about school, no-ones gonna like you cause you’re dating MB behind all the fan’s backs. And then you’ll not be able to go anywhere without being stalked and abused”
“Thanks…Becky…I feel great knowing that everyone wants to stalk and abuse me”
“Oh…sorry”
“Its i-ight”
“I’ve got a surprise for you guys tomorrow!”
“What is it?”
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you now, would it?”
“True…bye…love ya”
“Love ya too, bye”
“So what’s the surprise?” Christine asked, as I slipped my phone back into my pocket
“She didn’t tell me” I sulked, before turning my attention back to the TV.
“So…we’ll be here tomorrow with some more news on MB’s mystery girls!” Luisa-Jane signed off as the theme song began to play, before the credits started to scroll.
“Fudge” Princeton said, as Prodigy switched off the TV
“My thoughts exactly” Prodigy agreed
