The crunch of the fresh white snow put a soft smile on the girls face. The winter cold adding a rosy tint to her cheeks. She felt a chill as the clear night sky added an icy freeze to the cold weather. She zipped her coat, hoping for warmth to return to her.
Soon enough she had reached the all to familiar clearing she had learned to love dearly. The once blooming field full of Begonia's, Bell-flower's, Lily's, and Cosmos. Was now void of all colors, but was covered in thick white sheet of fresh snow that glistened in the light, and covered in the footprints of the woodland creatures. Finding a clear spot, she took a seat, letting the peace and serenity of her surroundings fill her senses. It was so peaceful, for she could hear the rushing river raging against the cold. It had felt as if time had frozen, every breath she took was puffed out in cloud of smoke disappearing as if in slow motion. There was no anything, no movement, no noise, just peace.
The sound of a snapping twig broke the girl out of her trance, she began scanning her surroundings, looking for the source of the disturbance. As she looked at the path she came, a figure emerged from the shadows, a boy. He looked to be the same age as her, as he came out of the shadows she was taken aback. His hair was darker than the sky itself, his eyes holding a mischievous glint darkening the hazel blue, as they landed on her. He had a busted lip and bruised knuckles. The girl recognized the trouble the boy brought, but something kept her back.
"Who are you", the girl questioned voice unwavering and curiosity evident. The boy chuckled to him self replying," That is for me to know and for you to find out love," the thick Australian accent present. Deciding to stay quiet the girl went back to her daydreams. Suddenly, she felt a presence next to her, she looked over to see the boy take a seat. "I've always loved it here", the boy took a sigh. The two continued to talk, forgetting the two were strangers. "It's 11:11, make a wish love.", he stated looking into the girls eyes, his own gleaming with joy. With that the girl layed down on his shoulder letting sleep overtake her.
The girl slowed awake the sun shinning bright in her eyes. She looked over to notice the boy had already gone, but in his place there was a note.
May we meet again, until then just keep making wishes, goodbye love
The girl smiled to herself," We will always have 11:11,".
