Long ago, the High King of Britain, Arthur Pendragon fought his own illegitimate son Modred in the battle of Camlann. There he killed Modred who had tried to usurp the kingdom from his father after he had instigated the king to fight with Lancelot. In the final moments of the Battle of Camlann, Modred's Sword, Galantine pierced through Arthur's chest and Arthur's spear, Rhongomyniad through Modred's thick armour and into his heart. Both fell and none woke. Arthur's men took Arthur's body and Modred's men did likewise.
The Excalibur was given back to the Lady of the Lake and Arthur Pendragon sailed injured towards the Isle of Avalon to heal himself and he promised his knight Sir Bedivere that he would return once more.
But his promise fell short for Modred, the Horned Knight of the Round table was miraculously well and alive. And in the midst of confusion cause by the absence of King Arthur, usurped the throne for himself.
Now, the new self appointed High King of Britain, Modred seeks to finish his bloddy feud with Arthur. Though as to where both Avalon and Arthur are, remains a mystery.
