Chapter 2

A SENIOR IN DISGUISE

1:23 pm

Three days after the recent murder case in the hotel, parsley was in his usual self. Because of his performance and ability, the chief of police hired him as a full time detective, they give parsley a proper licensed, badge and a grant to possess weapons in order to defend himself during an operation.

Parsley didn't take it seriously, he was still stubborn as usual, For him it was another boring job he needs to do in order to pay his rent, foods,cigarettes and his alcohol, this was the things he was contented with.

"Sorry I'm late" Inspector Kang said while removing his coat , he wave at the bartender and asked for a glass of water. Parsley on the other side was filled with some finished cigarettes around him, in his right side- A glass with a brandy in it.
Naka laydown ang ulo niya habang naka taas ang kanang kamay na may hawak na sigarilyo.

"We're all slave" Parsley whispered

"Huh?" Inspector kang is confused, Parsley didn't answered back.

"Nahuli na nga pala yung suspect dun sa recent case sa hotel, it seems like all the deductive explanation of yours has corresponded to the statement of the suspect. It was really a love matter thing" Inspector kang added. Parsley raise his head upward and look at inspector kang.

"I want to die" Parsley said in a nonchalant manner. napa buntong hininga nalang si inspector kang sa sinabi ng binata.

"Welp congratulations for getting a job! Hopefully this time you won't mess it up." Inspector kang stated while he took a sip from his glass of water.

"Maswerte ka. You should be thankful ." Inspector kang added.

"Romeo are you a slave?" Parsley asked the bartender, The bartender smiles and answered.

"Kay misis po hehe"

"I see" parsley stated and took a smoke upon his cigarette.

"Finally, she's here " Inspector kang said while looking at his phone, Parsley look at him in confusion.

"Who?" Maikling tanong ni parsley.

"Detective Natalie Gomez, she's assigned to your supervision in short, She's your Junior assistant."
Inspector kang stated.

"I don't need an assistant " Parsley said while laying down his head

"Well she needs a senior supervisor. Tuturuan molang naman siya ng mga ways ng nga detectives eh alam mo yun." Inspector kang insisted.

Maya maya pa, nakalapit na si Detective Natalie Gomez sa kinaroroonan nilang dalawa, nakangiting sinalubong siya ni Inspector kang habang si parsley naman ay naka lay down parin ang ulo.

"D-Detective Natalie Gomez Sir, I'll be in your supervision!" Detective Natalie said in lively yet in shaky voice, she was nervous.

"Ah ha ha ha," Inspector kang laughed uncomfortably.

"Nice meeting you detective Natalie and uh.. I'm not your senior detective supervisor " Inspector kang added.

"Ha? Eh saan po sir?" Detective natalie asked. sandaling naging maaliwalas ang mukha ng dalaga.

"Ahh, eh.. T- this man over here" Mahinang siniko ni inspector kang ang tagiliran ng binata, dahan dahan namang ini-angat ni parsley ang kanyang ulo pagkatapos ay tuluyan ng humarap.

His eyes were hidden with his messy hair, his pale skin was exposing in a total contrast with his black, crumpled and sleeve rolled coat. Detective Natalie can't believe on what she saw, she cannot believe that the man who's in charge upon his skills development, is in the hands of this man.

"Ahh he he he,d -don't worry Detective Natalie, Mr Parsley was a certified specialist, combat officer and a detective. Hindi man halata sa itsura niya pero at a very young age eh, he is already capable of professional talents." Putol ni Inspector kang.

"Ah! H-hi sir, m-my name is Natalie Gomez" Detective Natalie Bows her head, but when the time she lifted her head again, she caught a glimpse of sight upon Parsley's eyes, Detective natalie was amazed as if it were shining in a blue hue yet it tells no emotion.

"Artistic, porsigido sa pag aaral- Let me guess, your second choice was to be an architect pero due to financial problem nag switch ka sa mas affordable courses wich is law and suddenly you've ended up in this field. Hindi karin nakatulog kagabi." Both Inspector kang and detective Natalie was in shock on what parsley said.

"Ano na naman yang sinasabi mo parsley" Inspector kang said uncomfortably but parsley was still looking at Detective natalie straight on its face.

"The small paints the goes inside your nails, The strong and straight middle finger and your thumb on your left hand, It tells me na humawak ka ng ruler for a long period of time, The small blackened spots between your thumb and index finger on your dominant hand, it tells me na madami kang sinusulat, And lastly The eyelids in your eye, masyadong natabunan ng foundation but still there's a blackened area, a strong indication of lack of sleep."

Napaiwas ng tingin si Detective natalie and that moment naging self aware siya. Muli siyang sumilay sa mga mata ng binata ngunit hindi niya kayang tumagal sa titig nito na parang nililitis ka, Nakadagdag pa sa pagka intimidate ni detective natalie ay ang mga deduce judgement sa kanya ni parsley na tumutugma lahat.

"My name is Grey Parsley, i may not look like it pero wala tayong magagawa, you are under my supervision and you will treat me as your senior officer. Now you may dismiss."

Nagulat si inspector kang sa huling sinabi ng binata.

"O-oy, Hindi mo ba siya y yain umorder?" Tanong ni Inspector kang. Bumalik naman sa pagkakaupo si parsley at muling nagsalita

"Do whatever you want"
