I stood at the cold bus stop ear-buds jammed in my ears, I hated this Why did move have to move us in the middle of my sophomore year!? I huffed. My name is Amelia Burns, but I prefer that people call me Emmy I know weird but I do,  I'm the youngest of youngest of two siblings my brother is a 15 year old autistic boy named James Burns who is raised and taught by my mother Harper Burns who works from home as a tutor for autistic children, and then their is my father Mark Burns a business man and that's all I know he's hardly home. we moved from a small town in Missouri named Fulton (actual town look it up) to Minnesota to a city named St. Cloud, but back to now at the bus stop the bus pulls up and I step on, I'm not allowed to drive until I get my Minnesota license so public transit will have to do I sat on the sat my bag in my lap. These  school uniforms are insufferable a pleated skirt, a white button up, a sweater, stockings (black or with the school crest, I chose black despite mother's objections), and black Mary Jane's on my feet I had my hair done in a soft bun my round glasses sitting on my nose the bus came to a stop and I got off and tipped my driver before walking down the side walk to the simply massive school. I looked at my schedule, first period English history with Mrs.Meens 3rd floor room 468 alright I started up the stairs quietly three floors later I'd found my class and stepped in and I  was late!  the teacher made a huge deal out of it too, "CLASS!" she exclaimed scaring me slightly "this is our new student Amelia Burns give her a warm welcome!" ' oh god please' I felt my face heat up " you can sit next ms.Duncan she's an angle!" I gripped my bag and sat down when she said "hello Burns," she smiled "I want you to know I rule this school so don't cross me or I'll make your life a living hell." she smiled so sweetly it was scary 'god this'll be hell'
