So, this obviously isn't an update, but today we are saddened to hear of the news of Woojin's departure from Stray Kids and the termination of his exclusive contact.
Although the official statement mentions (as of writing) that it was for personal circumstances, I can't help wonder "what happened?" I imagine that I'm not alone in that thinking as well. I know that at the end of the day, it is none of our business to really, truly know.
I'm sure more information will come out in the future, and perhaps Woojin and/or the members will make a statement or talk about it in some way. I also hope that the members aren't barraged or even harassed with questions about the situation whether they are out and about or doing a live broadcast. But for now, just be glad that Woojin is still alive and well; too many idols have struggled in their personal lives and took desperate actions to make it stop.
Let us all heave a collective sigh. It's a hard time; Stray Kids is my favorite male group. Yes, they even overtook BTS (my previous bias group) in my eyes. Stray Kids will now be forever different, but I'm sure Woojin left because he did what he felt what was best for HIM. I'm honestly happy that he put himself first, and I believe that's the way things should be.
Thank you Woojin, for everything that you've done for Stray Kids and Stay. 😊
